It seems the winter break is over at Avenue Music Bar (Domus) as the outside chairs have gone, to be replaced by timber panelling and rubble. We were told last year that the boys had some major changes to make and it looks as though they've started.

Hello Lynda, Maybe we can ask Steve and Julie to post a list oneday, with all of the pubs/restaurants/ apartmentnames and the names of their owners, for those who don't know (like me) or can't remember ,as things are changing fast in Roda .......and then keep us updated of course !! maybe this could be a "mission" for my son, should he come over to Roda in April / May to get working experience ... ;D ;D greetings from holland, petra

Quite right Lynda - they are the guys from the Tropicana - lots of hammering and banging in there this morning.

The Tropicana was rented out before - it is now operated by the owner and his family. The main people will be Nikos & Elpida, you probably remember Nikos from 'Caesar's Place', the cigarette shop between Crusoe's and the Dolphin. The shop will still be open this year. The children's play area at the Tropicana is now operating and we have some pictures to post soon.

Hi everyone, i can see what petra means a list would be helpful, am sure last sept avenue was owned by the guy who owns the gift shop on the seafront (sorry his name escapes me!), julie x

You're right Julie, Avenue was, and still is, owned by Vassilis & Marilena who have the Vassia gift shop on the seafront - and that is part of the problem. To catalogue both who owns, and who runs, each business each year is quite a big job and the list would be out of date very quickly. It would also involve us in a lot of research to fill in the numerous gaps in our knowledge - one day maybe! ;D For example, Avenue is owned by Vassilis & Marilena, who also own 'X-treme' and 'Roda Bar.Be.Que' which is run by Spiros who also runs 'Robertos' apartments, but owns 'Stella's Bar' - clear so far?? - by the way, 'Robertos' is also the same family who run the merchants at the rear of the BP garage on the main road which is probably rented from the guy who owns the garage whose name we forget!! Got it?? - and that's only two families - maybe. Sorry Petra & Julie - a job for the future I think! Steve

I think a list would probably confuse us more than it would help us! lol
Like a big massive, confusing family tree! lol
