When we were in The Tropicana last year, the people who worked there said they thought they'd be moving to another property , up to the left at the crossroads I think. We spent so many of our evenings there. The food was fine and there was always a good atmosphere. We're all booked again for this year. Will you remind me as I've a poor memory for names, where is Nemos? I'm sure we'll have been there, but I jus can't remember another bouncy vastle. Thankyou.

Hi ebeth - the lads from the former Tropicana have now taken Avenue, which was formally Domus. It along the main street,on the right handside as you walk to the sea, almost opposite where are the children's ride-on cars.
Nemo's is the new bar that opened at the end of the renovated concrete structure, opposite the Afroditi. There is a lovely play area there,, with a bouncy castle. I am not sure when you were here last year but it is possible that it wasn't finished.
When will you be here this year?

Well, we made it along to the "Tropicana" for the first time since it re-opened a few days ago. We are told that the official opening will take place in a couple of weeks time, but meanwhile, the doors are open! Outside is still to be finished but looks promising. There are two ramps leading up to the two entry points. The inside is light and airy, a very pleasant setting for a coffee or two. Below are a few pictures. all taken from inside: - The toilet facilities are superb with two rooms each for men and women and a large disabled toilet. With complimentary colours which are not too harsh, subtle but ample lighting and with the prospect of a wonderful area for children, all that remains is to decide is the name. We were told today that it is down to a choice of two and currently it will be an anagram of "Tropicana" and "Island"! As soon as it's been decided, it'll be on the forum, even it it isn't the above!

We haven't been into Avenue yet, Pete, but it is busy throughout the day and seems to be a popular place with the locals. No sign from the outside of any changes yet.
