Good afternoon from Roda. We have had a thunderstorm since the early hours of the morning, accompanied by plenty of lightning. We have suffered heavy rain, almost constantly, and even hail has been reported. Albania has come and gone as the weather dictated due to the clouds being at all levels. There were periods when the rain eased off and it became almost dry. Thankfully there isn't much wind and the sea is calm.
Yesterday was a mostly cloudy day, but we did see some sun in the afternoon. It did feel quite chilly, as the wind did increase for a time. We started to have some long heavy spells of rain but we did get one or two spells of sunshine. The evening saw the rain ease and even some clear patches between the clouds letting some stars be seen as well as the waxing crescent moon. The whole day just felt miserable even if the temperatures weren't that bad.
The temperature at 10.00 am on Saturday 15th. December 2018 was 13.0°C, real feel 13°C, and the humidity 84% giving a dew point of 13°C.

Yesterday's maximum temperature was 16.2°C (real feel 16°C), and the minimum was 10.4°C , a dew point of 13°C. The maximum humidity was 84% and the minimum 82%.
The reported UV for today is low at 1 ( Range 1- 11+). UK range 1- 8 The UV Index does not exceed 8 in the UK (8 is rare; 7 may occur on exceptional days, mostly in the two weeks around the summer solstice). Good afternoon from Roda. It was a very wild night with the wind lashing the apartment and the sea making such a noise with the waves thundering ashore. It was cloudy when we did get up with some bright areas around and good visibility with Albania with passing ferries quite clear across the heaving channel. However as the morning progressed the blue patches increased steadily until we were getting sunny spells. The temperatures though remained quite low.
Yesterday the thunder and lightning storm lasted until early afternoon, with some torrential periods of rain. This rain persisted until the early evening until eventually petering out. The haze cleared and we could see the lights of Albania quite clearly on our evening walk. The waves were building up and were splashing over the sea wall by the Boathouse which we had to duck. The temperatures didn't fall much with the late evening reading of 11°C at 11pm.
The temperature at 10.00 am on Sunday 16th. December 2018 was 13.4°C, real feel 13°C, and the humidity 63% giving a dew point of 6°C.

Good morning from Roda. We have a lovely start to the day, with sunshine albeit in a quite cloudy sky that threatens to hide the sun completely from time to time. It was a cold start to the day with a chilly breeze. the peaks of Albania with a fresh dusting of snow are visible across the channel. The rough seas of yesterday are a memory with just a wave forming as it hits the shore line. The rest of the sea is a beautiful calm blue. We have our usual smoky haze and a garden full of little birds chirping away.
Yesterday, after a cloudy and wild start, started improving. We had patches of blue developing leading to good spells of welcome sunshine. However the wind remained fierce, so bracing didn't quite be an adequate word for how it felt as we walked into the village in the afternoon. The seas were high as the photos show, and extremely noisy where there are pebbly beaches between the Coral and Nino's. That wind did blow much of the cloud cover away allowing us to have a pretty good sunset, all things considered. We, therefore, had an evening show of stars and a half moon to light our way home. It was still 11°C at 11pm, with the temperature never rising much from the 11°C when I got up to the same temperature when I went to bed.
The temperature at 10.00 am on Monday 17th. December 2018 was 11°C, real feel 11°C, and the humidity 69% giving a dew point of 5°C.
The maximum temperature this day 2017 was 17.0°C and the minimum 9.5°C. Early morning showers followed by a sunny and clear afternoon.
Yesterday's maximum temperature was 13.4°C (real feel 13°C), and the minimum was 11.0°C , a dew point of 5°C. The maximum humidity was 85% and the minimum 57%.

Good morning from Roda. It is a very cloudy start to the day, dry at the moment but there has been recent rain. Low clouds are filling some of the valleys in Albania and we have rain clouds and rain to the north west. The sea is calm and I can't hear waves at all, and we have a gentle breeze. This cool spell is persisting with the day time temperatures hovering between 11 and 13°C. Despite the cool we are starting to see the acid yellow of sorrel flowers appear in the fields, and the narcissus are due to flower around us soon.
Yesterday started off quite bright and promising with even a hint or two of sun, but the clouds won and we were left with a cool grey day. Early evening saw rain, it started off quite gentle but soon it was very heavy and to add to the fun we had thunder and lightning circling us. Despite this there was not much wind and the sea was quite calm. The storm eased off in the late evening leaving the rain to continue. It was a mild for the time of year with the late evening temperature 12°C
The temperature at 10.00 am on Tuesday 18th. December 2018 was 11.2°C, real feel 11°C, and the humidity 75% giving a dew point of 7°C.
The maximum temperature this day 2017 was 11.7°C and the minimum 8.0°C. Early morning drizzle followed by clear skies and a fresh breeze.
Yesterday's maximum temperature was 13.7°C (real feel 14°C), and the minimum was 7.9°C , a dew point of 8°C. The maximum humidity was 76% and the minimum 59%.

Good afternoon from Roda. The good weather has returned if only temporarily. We have clear almost cloudless blue skies, good visibility, a calm looking sea, but waves are breaking close to the shore and almost no wind. An early morning drive to Corfu showed the verges and fields gently steaming in the morning sun. The views of the snow fields on the Albanian peaks as we went over Troumpeta were so pretty with the sun making them gleam pure white. It was chilly first thing though with the dawn temperature only 5°C! Mind you I still put my washing out and it is almost dry now.
Yesterday had a cloudy start, with very low clouds filling valleys under the peaks of the Albanian mountains. The sea and the wind both stayed calm for the most of the day, however the sea was starting to pick up in the evening. We had a spell of early afternoon drizzle, which wet the ground again. Then the clouds started to clear and we were left with enough clouds to give us a lovely sunset. The evening stayed partly cloudy with many stars and a large waxing moon giving enough light to see our way home.
The temperature at 10.00 am on Wednesday 19th. December 2018 was 7.7°C, real feel 8°C, and the humidity 78% giving a dew point of 5°C.
The maximum temperature this day 2017 was 10.0°C and the minimum 4.1°C. A sunny day warm enough for breakfast on the balcony (23°C in sun), however there was rain later in the night. Yesterday's maximum temperature was 12.8°C (real feel 13°C), and the minimum was 10.1°C , a dew point of 8°C. The maximum humidity was 81% and the minimum 70%.
The reported UV for today is low at 2 ( Range 1- 11+). Good morning from Roda. We had an early pre-dawn drive into Corfu town today. It was very chilly to say the least with a ground frost in the fields next to us and in the valleys as we travelled. The view as we went over Troumpeta was a land lost in the mist with islands of trees and houses on slightly higher ground. It wasn't that much different on our return trip mid- morning. Dawn was a scarlet orb of the sun briefly seen in a sea of pink clouds and was soon lost. The temperatures as we drove fluctuated wildly from 2- 7°C, with the camper's windows and side mirrors misting up and clearing as the external temperature changed. It was coldest in the valleys and best on the tops. Coming back the temperatures had reached around 10°C, much better. It was very cloudy to the south of Troumpeta with much clearer blue skies to the north. We have waves breaking as they hit the shallows, and not much wind. There is a general haze to the day not helped by our bonfires.
Yesterday was a beautiful winter's day. It stayed sunny but cool with no much wind and a calm sea. We had enough clouds to give us a very pretty sunset. I did take a picture but it was too poor a quality to put on the forum. Think of deep orange setting sun in an equally orange band of clouds fading to deep lilacs in an otherwise blue sky. There was a 2/3 very bright moon outshining the stars with only the brightest winning any right to be seen. It was a calm night so didn't feel as cold as the temperatures said. The sea was starting to pick up with waves beating on the shore.
The temperature at 10.00 am on Thursday 20th. December 2018 was 9.7°C, real feel 10°C, and the humidity 82% giving a dew point of 7°C.
The maximum temperature this day 2017 was 8.9°C and the minimum 1.6°C. A sunny day after early morning frost.
Yesterday's maximum temperature was 12.7°C (real feel 13°C), and the minimum was 5.1°C , a dew point of 7°C. The maximum humidity was 80% and the minimum 65%.
The reported UV for today is low at 2 ( Range 1- 11+). Good afternoon today. It was a much warmer start to the day with a temperature at least in double figures. However we had very low cloud and haze, hiding Albania from view and a fair bit of our hillsides. The sea was slightly ruffled but calm and quiet and we had no wind. It started raining just after 10am and was quite steady until it gave up an hour later. We had a few blue patches appearing in the sky to the north. so things were getting better.
Yesterday lovely all day here in the north. We had blue skies with some decorative clouds around. It was still cool, but the lack of wind made it feel not too bad. There were enough clouds to give a passable sunset leading onto a clearish mild evening with the temperature at 10.30 still in double figures at 11°C.
The temperature at 10.00 am on Friday 21st. December 2018 was 13.1°C, real feel 13°C, and the humidity 79% giving a dew point of 9°C.
The maximum temperature this day 2017 was 9.5°C and the minimum 3.7°C. A cloudy day with a few sunny spells and a decent sunset.
Yesterday's maximum temperature was 13.5°C (real feel 14°C), and the minimum was 4.2°C , a dew point of 10°C. The maximum humidity was 83% and the minimum 71%.

Good morning from Roda. It is a cloudy old day today, well it was at the start but the sun is making a valiant attempt to break through and has succeeded from time to time. The sea is flat calm and there is all but no wind. But it was quite chilly first thing but we are approaching mid double digits as I write. Albania is just about visible across the channel wreathed in very low clouds.
Yesterday, after a bit of a wet start cleared up to give us a not bad afternoon. The sun did show its face and we had some good spells of sunshine, though it did seem to be much sunnier over in Albania and around us than here in Roda. We had an absolutely brilliant sunset that covered more than half the sky. With the western sky seemingly on fire with the colours fading through peaches and into pinks the further round the sky you looked. We had a calm night with a full moon in a sky dotted with light clouds. The moonlight was so strong we could only glimpse one or two of the brighter stars. The air temperature was lower than the flat calm sea causing it to steam gently, giving the bay a bit of an eerie feel.
The temperature at 10.00 am on Saturday 22nd. December 2018 was 9.9°C, real feel 10°C, and the humidity 85% giving a dew point of 8°C.
The maximum temperature this day 2017 was 11.8°C and the minimum 5.5°C. A cloudy day with a few sunny spells and a glorious sunset.
Yesterday's maximum temperature was 14.2°C (real feel 14°C), and the minimum was 10.1°C , a dew point of 10°C.

Good afternoon from Roda. My report has been delayed because today was a big day here in Roda. We had the grand opening of the Roda and Sfakera recycling centre. I have written a separate report about this. The gods did smile on us as we had a glorious morning for it. There was sunshine in an almost clear sky, only a few clouds around and no wind. The air was clear enough for us to get great views of Albania across the flat calm sea. It was warm enough for us to have our breakfast and our mid afternoon tea out on the balcony enjoying the warmth of the sun.
Yesterday was a mostly cloudy day, after the bright start in the morning where we did see a few sunny spells. The clouds and haze did lift to give us good views of the lights of Albania on our evening walk. Despite it being cloudy for the best part of the day we had the most amazing sunset with rays of reds fanning out from the setting sun lighting up the clouds.
The temperature at 9.00 am on Sunday 23rd. December 2018 was 8.9°C, real feel 9°C, and the humidity 84% giving a dew point of 6°C. The maximum temperature this day 2017 was 13.0°C and the minimum 4.5°C. A bright and sunny day with quite a rough sea.

Good afternoon from Roda. My report has been delayed because today was Steve and my day for manning the recycling centre. Then we had to go in search of our Christmas bird. We were thwarted in that all the fresh turkeys had gone, however we did buy a cockerel, which we have never had before. I will report back. This morning was quite overcast, but mild with a calm sea and little wind and Albania only a vague shape on the horizon.
Yesterday was a very nice day indeed. It stayed lovely and sunny all day with a few clouds around, increasing a little from time to time. It was warm enough in the sun to enjoy breakfast and our afternoon cup of tea on the balcony. The end of the day ended with a standard sunset which was followed a while late by the most amazing moon rise we have seen in a long time. This orange orb lifted itself out of the sea swathed in clouds and shedding its light over the calm bay. My photo doesn't do it justice . Later on when the moon was higher the whole bay was washed with silver, delightful.
This is a photo of the sunset on Saturday. Neither quality that great as snatched with my mobile.
The temperature at 9.00 am on Monday 24th. December 2018 was 12.0°C, real feel 12°C, and the humidity 89% giving a dew point of 10°C.

Good morning from Roda. The administrators, Steve, Dave and myself would like to wish you all a very happy Christmas, and hope to see you all in Roda in 2019. It was a bit of a wild night for Christmas Eve, we had strong winds (Santa would have had difficulties with his sleigh) and raging seas. We awoke to a clear morning with barely a trace of a cloud, ultra clear views of Albania. We sat up in bed and watched as the rising sun's rays illuminated the valleys one by one. The sea is topped by white horses for as far as the eye can see. We have no bonfires today so our hills are lovely and clear as well. We sat and had breakfast on the balcony watching a buzzard being harassed by a crow. There was not a sound apart from the birds and the wind and sea.
Yesterday was mostly a cloudy and at times drizzly day. It gave enough rain to wet the pavements and make an attempt at puddles. The afternoon did get brighter with the sun trying hard to make an appearance. There was an attempt at a sunset with the clouds flushing pink, leading onto a cloudy evening with no hint of stars or moon. There was no wind and the sea was flat calm. It was very mild for the time of year with the temperature of 13°C at 10.30pm
The temperature at 10.00 am on Tuesday 25th. December 2018 was 12.9°C, real feel 12°C, and the humidity 60% giving a dew point of 5°C. Good morning from Roda. What a beautiful morning we have here today. There are reports of quite a frost in the higher villages, but it was gone from here before we looked out of the windows. We have a clear blue sky without a hint of a cloud, brilliant sunshine amazing air clarity so the snows on the far peaks of Albania are gleaming. It is so clear you feel you could almost count the houses in the villages. The sea is a deep blue and much calmer than yesterday thought here are still some white topped waves hitting the shore. The wind, too, has eased so it isn't rattling the shutters, or the pull cord for the mozzie nets. There is a hard knob on the end which constantly batters the windows in high winds like someone trying knocking on the window. I easily sleep through it now.
Yesterday was beautiful all day, very windy, but with dropping humidity very clear. It was sparkling, but very bracing in that northerly wind. On our south facing balcony it was very nice and we could feel the sun starting to burn our skin. We had guests so no Christmas lunch on the balcony, but it was warm enough to have done so. Enough streaky cloud appeared by sunset to give a truly glorious sunset. We all clustered outside in that wind to watch with awe. The evening stroll into the village brought us another delight in the moon rise, not quite as spectacular as on Christmas Eve, but wonderful all the same. The moonlight was so strong only the brightest stars could shine.
The temperature at 10.00 am on Wednesday 26th. December 2018 was 8.5°C, real feel 9°C, and the humidity 49% giving a dew point of -2°C.
The maximum temperature this day 2017 was 14.3°C and the minimum 6.6°C. A day of mostly cloudy spells and some sunshine and a rising wind.
Yesterday's maximum temperature was 14.9°C (real feel 15°C), and the minimum was 12.9°C , a dew point of 6°C. The maximum humidity was 91% and the minimum 41%.

Good morning from Roda. It is another glorious morning here, if a bit chilly in the shade. At 10am it was 5 There was a very heavy frost in the sheltered valleys on the way to Corfu Town this morning, and it was still there on our return ay 10am. The sky was a clear blue unadulterated by clouds, with a gentle breeze and a calm sea. As we topped Troumpeta the view was amazing, dark blocks of the land masses against a dawn pink sky with the sea still light grey and the valleys filled with low lying mist. The views coming back over Troumpeta were equally magnificent with the Diapontian Islands basking in the clear morning light in front of an Albanian coastline that seemed so close.
Yesterday was beautiful with clear skies and sunshine all day. Again it was chilly in the shade but warm in the sun to enjoy life on the balcony. The strong winds of the previous day were easing as were the waves. We enjoyed a very pleasant if a bit bracing walk into the village in the afternoon. The air was so clear that you could count the parasol stands at Roda Beach Hotel! There was a pretty standard sunset that led onto a dark and starlit night, with all the lights of Albania in attendance together with ours from around the bay. The strong wind had dropped away completely by mid evening so it was quite a pleasant walk back from the village.

Good morning from Roda. And this lovely weather continues. We have a beautiful blue sky with just a dusting of clouds to the south of us, a gentle breeze and great visibility. Albania stands proud across a flat calm deep blue sea with just the gentle sound of small waves coming ashore. Though the waves were noisy during the night. We had a white frost almost to the apartment block this morning but it soon went when the sun hit it.
Yesterday stayed beautiful all day with cloudless blue skies and constant sunshine for the most part. It was very warm at times sitting in the sun with a 20°C difference between the front balcony and the back one. We basked in the sun just appreciating the weather and the beautiful scenery all to the sounds of all the little birds that are in the garden. We were also able to appreciate the majesty of the buzzards circling the skies close to us and even perching in the next field. A few streaky clouds gathered before sunset but couldn't do enough to give us more than a vague one. We had a dark starlit night, moonless because the moon is around during the day.
The temperature at 10.00 am on Friday 28th. December 2018 was 6.3°C, real feel 11°C, and the humidity 74% giving a dew point of 2°C.
The maximum temperature this day 2017 was 14.5°C and the minimum 11.7°C. A stormy night with heavy rain easing off to give bright period and nice sunset.

Good morning from Roda. The lovely weather continues with a lovely blue sky with only one or two tiny clouds, especially caught on the flanks of the Albanian peaks. We have only a gentle breeze and the sea is calm with waves only breaking when they hit the shore. The early morning frost was soon a memory. Breakfast again on the balcony basking in the sun. We would be freezing on the north balcony.
Yesterday was lovely all day with the breeze only stirring a little in the late afternoon. We enjoyed a lovely walk along the sea front to Acharavi. Later what few clouds there had been respectfully stayed in small numbers and were almost absent by the time the sun went to bed. The few thin streaky things didn't do anything for the sunset which was mediocre. We then had a cold clear and starlit night, with all the Albanian villages accounted for and more lights than usual around the bay as places are still open for the festive season.
The temperature at 10.00 am on Saturday 29th. December 2018 was 7.8°C, real feel 10°C, and the humidity 78% giving a dew point of 5°C.
