Been lurking on the forum picking up snippets of information for a while. We are coming into Corfu Airport on Friday about 11:30am from Bournemouth and will be staying at the Elisabeth Apartments for a week. I note that Thomsons state 120 minutes for the transfer, which probably means 180 in real time knowing how the tour agents like to be a bit economical with the truth Just wondering if booking a taxi from one of the Roda based taxi firms would be a better option, I am sure it would be quicker! Any recommendations and idea of price this year would be gratefully received. Thanks Clive

It's a no brainer. the taxi takes 45-50 minutes. Don't know about the price this year though.

The thing with the coach transfer especially on way back and it does take a couple of hours is you see the beautiful island if you aren't hiring

I am never too sure if the loo on the bus is available Jan

I have probably used all transfer methods. We go Olympic so usually use their transfers but a few years ago it took us four hours. Why? Fellow travellers getting off at stops for a smoke. Olympic from Manchester usually arrive around 1600. So we decided taxis. Extra cost but thought worth it to get to Roda. We were unlucky. Driver broke down, so we had to wait 40 mins, then he had to get petrol, then change driver. The coach was 5mins after we arrived. Tried another taxi company, great except 2yrs ago they dumped us at airport 3hrs before flight. We have arrived in Corfu after weekend in Athens, booked the shuttle, only ones on it, Roda in 40mins. Best experience was landing from Athens mid morning and getting the Green Bus. Cheapest if you feel up to it and marvellous. Coaches wait and so do taxis. Last year I landed in major thunderstorms, taxi driver was still waiting. My husband and my sister who flying in from Manchester (last flights not diverted due to thunderstorms), taxi waiting. Good and bad with all transfers.

Well it all worked perfectly. Nice driver in a comfortable Mercedes, gave us plenty of information on the island on the way to Roda. We landed at 11:45 and were 'in resort' about 13:30. It's a lovely day here today as was yesterday😄☀️
