A clear but chilly dawn with the sun up but slowly thin high white clouds are building. Signs of further snowfall on the Albanian peaks. There is a a heavy dew but almost no breeze. At 8.30am it is 8.7c.
Yesterday we had a lovely sunny morning and the waves were small as they broke on the beach, lots of people were out working in gardens or on their apartments or businesses. From mid afternoon the wind began to increase and bring in clouds so we only max at 17.5c. The clouds were not very dark but the had an odd tint to them due to the haze. Then around 6pm it started to rain, large raindrops at first. It soon became a thunderstorm with plenty of thunder and lightening and it was so heavy it gave the impression of hailstones. Although it eased a0fter an hour or so it continued to rain until after 9pm. The winds that had been strong eased and the clouds began to disperse and reveal the stars whilst the temperature began to fall away.
The minimum temperature was 11.3c.

This morning we woke to a chilly but clear day with no breeze. The sun is up over Roda but at 8am it was only 8.6c. All is set fine for a lovely day.
Yesterday a nice sunny morning during which the breeze picked up a little. As afternoon arrived i went to Roda where the sea was long white rollers crashing onto the harbour rocks, with spray flying, those on the beach ran up much higher than usual. It was glorious sat on beach outside Alexandros as the temperature reached 19.5c, slowly as the sun set so the strength of the waves fell away as did the temperature once the stars were out to leave a bright but chilly night.
The minimum temperature was 8.4c

A large black cloud hovering over the peaks behind Roda greets us this morning though there is plenty of blue sky and the sun is up. The winds have died away to a gentle breeze and it was 11..3c at 9am.
Again the winds pickrd up yesterday but it remained a lovely sunny day. The sea was choppy with whitetops as far ss one could see and waves crashing onto the beach. It felt cool i the shade due to the blustery winds but pleasant in the sun although the maximum temperature only reached 15.6c. As night fell so we had a glorious starlit sky.
The minimum temperature was 8.1c.

A chilly morning but it seems the maistro winds have gone, calm and no sign of whitetops from my balcony the sun is up early but there are a few clouds around. At 6.30am the moon was circled by a ring of haze. At 9am it is just 8.9c.
Yesterday again the winds got up pushing away clouds to give prolonged sunny spells, nice in shade chilly in the winds. Whitetops and big waves rolling in hiding the small rocks at the kiosk end of the beach. The winds kept the maximum temperature down to just 15.3c. As night came so we again had a bright starlit night but the temperature fell away quickly.
The minimum temperature was 10.8c.

This morning was still, at 6.30am there were dark geey clouds to the east and a clear moonlit sky to the west. As dawn came so the grey clouds moved away and the sun came up, a light chilly breeze accompanying it. At 9am it was 11c.
Yestrday as the day passed so the winds again picked up and the whitetops reappeared pushing the sea even further up the beach, it remained sunny and if you found shelter you could enjoy the 17.7c. As night fell so we again had a starlit night but as the hours passed so clouds began to appear.
The minimum temperature was 7.2c.

Early today just thin high clouds, some grey blanket but elsewhere white and fluffy, odd patches of sun through the gaps. Slowly cleared to be sunny but very hazy as i look towards Agnos and Roda, also over sea with Albania invisible at 10am when it was 11.3c.
Yesterday morning was pleasant but the clouds thickened from over the peaks and whilst not too dark they had threat of thunderstorm in them, however when the rain came aafter midday it was just light showers. They stopped after an hour or so and it cleared to a sunny afternoon through to sunset. We had a maximum of 17.3c. A starlit evening followed but again there was a chill in the air.
The minimum temperature was 8.9c.

Happy St Patrick's Day to our Irish readers. It is a bright sunny morning here with a light breeze and a haze, so again Albania is barely visable. There is a slight chill in the air but it is warming up and 11c at 9am.
The clouds dispersed during the morning yesterday but the slight breeze remained making it a great day for drying washing, gardening and in my case whitewashing. We maxed at 18.8c and following the hazy sunset we again had a wonderful starlit night and the temperature fell slowly away.
The minimum temperature was 8.9c.

This morning is very similar to yesterday but there are more fluffy white clouds around but so far not affecting the sun. At 10am it was 13.7c.
Yesterday was a lovely sunny day with a light wind but stayed hazy, the sea calmer with small waves. The sunset was plain due to the haze, the evening again gave us a clear starlit sky with a bright moon. The maximum temperature was 18.8c.
The minimum temperature was 7.8c.

Hi Kaz, yes it lovely here with the light breeze makiñg it superb walking weather. The evenings do become chilly and most houses still have their wood burners on and the smell of this fills the air in the village.
This morning is sunny with a very high thin cloud and hazy outlook meaning Albania is only just visable. At 9.30am it was 14.1c. The sea is calm, the winds lighter and it promises to be another glorious spring day.
Yesterday was a copy of the previous day with sunshine, the odd fluffy cloud passing and a light wind that was chilly if you were in the shade, the sort of day when everybody walks on the pavement nearest the sea in Acharavi only crossing over to enter a shop. The waves have reduced to ripples and the Roda was busy with preparations for the fast approaching season, be it to gardens (putting out of pot plants and cleaning) or where works are taking place. We had a maximum of 19.9c. After a bright yellow sunset we again had a lovely starlit evening which became chilly in the breeze.
The minimum temperature was 10.1c.

This morning is again almost cloudless but a heavy haze hangs about almost hiding Albania. The breeze is slight, the air full of birdsong and passing traffic on way to work, the bread delivery man tooting as he goes bye. As we approach 8am it is 11.4c. As the days lengthen so the coldest point becomes earlier, during the winter months it was always coldest around 8am.
The promise of yesterday and forecast of 21c was not fulfilled as the rising haze just thickened the cloud as the day went bye, the sun visable but always behind the thin clouds and haze. A very light wind making the day pleasant, ideal for whitewashing and gardening, rather than glorious as we hoped. It was also very nice walking weather and my thin jumper had to be removed as i strolled around Roda. The waves just ripples lapping the beach as the temperature peaked at 19.3c. No sunset as such but clearing clouds gave those remaining hints of red, orange and purple. As the evening progressed so the dispersing clouds revealed the stars and by 9.30pm it was a fully starlit night.
The minimum temperature was 12.3c.

It is more the same today, heavy haze almost hiding Albania and very thin wispy clouds, the sun up and a light breeze. It is 11.4c approaching 8am.
Yesterday morning was lovely, still on the beach at 9.30am with ripples silent, a white egret wading by the river entrance, and a few people out for a stroll, locals in jackets myself a polo shirt and shorts. The warming sun was a delight later morning and early afternoon while i strimmed roadside and painted the wall. Taking relaxation after a shower i went to Alexandros sitting on the beach where a small group had gathered, it was glorious despite a light wind coming of the sea, enough to give small breaking waves, several large gulls were flying about (those familiar with Corfu will know gulls are fewer and not the pestsvthey have become at uk resorts and even towns). The maximum temperature reached 19.4c. Again a hazy sunset preceded a starlit night.
The minimum temperature was 10.9c.

The spring equinox arrived st 12.59 lunchtime yesterday although the meterological spring began on 1st March. With it comes the first forecast for Easter.
The current fine weather to remain this week, but we may see rains on Wednesday, but the first 2 weeks of April will see a deterioration with cooler temperature around 16c, winds, rains and storms. Therafter improving up to the 24th April. With Easter Sunday the 16th it seems we may again see rain disrupt the events leading up to Easter especially Palm Sunday. Let us hope these early forecasts are incorrect.
