This morning we wake to a light shower and gusty winds, which have been with us since the early hours. It is grey everywhere you look and not looking good for the big Carnival in Town. At 8am it was 14.1c. As you can tell the winds are warm and the light rain includes particles of sand.
Yesterday the southwesterly warm wind pushed the clouds away to give some prolonged sun, the clouds returned so we had sunny intervals and it was very pleasant both pottering about in garden and sitting on the balcony. The maximum was 17.6c. Come evening we did see half a sky of stars initially but as night progressed so the cloud cover intensified.
The minimum temperature was 10.7c.

The warm winds, but much lighter continued to give a very mild night so at 7am it was still 16.9c but it has dropped to 16.4c at 9am. We again have high grey clouds and no sign of the sun.
Locally the early rain eased off but there were spots about most morning, down on the beach the sea was calm considering the gusty winds but a ship was anchored for shelter as the wind gusting up the Corfu Channel was strong at times. Opposite the Yacht Club a white egret was wading by the small rocks. I went to Town hhoping to see the Carnival but on arrival so the rains came and a lengthy shower caused its cancellation. Today i go to Nymphes. Back home the afternoon was nice and warm, with the odd gust of the wind, but the sun failed to breakthrough, however the maximum was 17.9c. The evening cooled at little but it was still 15c at 11pm, remaining cloudy all the time. The minimum temperature was 13.3c.

This morning we have patchy light clouds but more blue over the sea and it is calm. Clean Monday has not been good weather wise in recent years for picnicking but today looks fine but it is very still, not good for kites however people tend to go to Almiros where you get breeze from the Channel. At 9am it is 13.3c and pleasant sat on balcony eating the still warm Lagana bread, special only on this day.
Yesterday come 8am it started to rain, a short sharp shower which dropped the temperature a bit. It stayed grey and cloudy but today glimpes of sun did breakthrough. By 3.15pm as the Carnival procession came past the clouds were thickening but it stayed dry until 6.45pm when we had another short sharp shower. The evening remained cloudy and damp but warm with no further rain. The maximum was 19.1c (if we get ful sun it would be nearer 25c!), the minimum was 15.0c.

The winds have shifted and are no longer as warm so we have to rely on the sun now. It is a cooler morning, 11.4c at 9am, but skies are clear but hazy and the sun is up.
Yesterday was a glorious day for Clean Monday. Sunshine all day, kite flyers down on Roda beach. Some using the taxi rank seating to lay out their picnics while playing on the beach. Others in large groups were popping into Pirates for refreshment. Toula was serving Lagana and homemade taramasalata as a complimentary meze with your drinks, very nice. There was a slight breeze come afternoon making it ideal for the kites and the temperature maxed at 19.9c (feeling warmer in the shade of breeze ). A clear night saw the temperature fall and the need for a jacket. The starlit sky partially blurred by haze.
The minimum temperature was 12.9c.

Kala Mena from a wet Roda. A shower at 7.30am turned heavy for an hour or so but is clearing and the sun is now pushing through. We can also enjoy the sound of birds as the shooting season finally finished yesterday. At 10am it was 13.6c.
A glorious sunny day yesterday with a slight breeze. At home i stopped gardening during siesta time and relaxed on a sunlounger just in jeans. It was like summer in UK as the temperature reached 20.1c but felt even warmer. The sea was calm with small waves rolling in. Evening was nice and only a thin jumper required but locals were still in shirt, thick jumper and jacket. We had a starlit night but not as clear as usual due to a hazy sky and a few clouds appearing.
The minimum temperature was 11.1c.

After a sleepless night due to very strong gusty winds causing noise as they caused garden items to move around and trees to drop many of gheir remaining fruit we wake to a clear sunny morning with a slight breeze, enough for the flag on the Sfakera rooftop to flutter fully. Albania very clear and signs of new snow and also a small avalanche area near the top of one mountain behind the coastal peaks. At 9am it was 13.3c.
Yesterday after the early rains it remained mostly grey with just the odd glimpse of the sun trying to breakthrough. The morning sea was calm with very small ripples replacing the waves. During the afternoon we had a very heavy shower accompanied by some thunder and gusty winds, then a brief bright spell with some sunshine before another heavy shower again with gusty winds. Odd the 1st blew onto balcony from left, the 2nd the rain slanting in the opposite direction. Again it cleared to sunny intervals prior to sunset. The setting sun turned the grey clouds into a purple orange colour and the whiter fluffy clouds over the hills behind Episkepsi into a dark cream edged in grey before they slowly turned more orangey yellow and finally purple with hint of pink and red plus grey. It was a lovely sight. The sky was clear over the sea and became starlit as the winds were finally blowing the clouds away. The maximum was 16.5c and the minimum 10.9c.

This morning there is a chill in the air in the shade but the sky is almost cloudless and the sun rising and already covering Roda, there is minimal breeze. The views good but hazy, the changing colours of the sea as it deepens very evident and the whitetops have gone leaving a much calmer sea. At 9am it is 9.6c.
Yesterday was a glorious day, the gusty winds lessening as the day progressed but a great day for drying laundry. It was busier than usual on the beachfront with signs of getting ready for the season in more places. Following the strong winds the previous night there were whitetops especially in the Channel and waves breaking some 20 yards from the beach and rolling in. As the day passed so the size and number of the waves reduced. The maximum was 17.9c but felt warmer if seltered from the breeze. A lovely yellow sunset preceded a fully bright starlit night and it was still pleasant strolling out late with just a jumper as the bre5had all but gone. The minimum temperature was 10.8c.

This morning is almost identical to yesterday but at 9am it was 11.1c. It is shorts and t-shirt weather if you are in the sun, however today Sfakera play at Nymphes so i will be in the shade and need jeans and jumper.
A glorious day yesterday with wall to wall sunshine saw many people out in their gardens preparing for their summer vegetables, at apartments tidying up outside ready for opening. A large number sat outside Alexandros on the beach. The sea calm with small ripples lapping the beach, a few fishing boats bobbing out in the bay. A clear view of sunbathed Albania where the snow is now beginning to melt away. The maximum was 18.6c. After a lovely yellow sunset a starlit night followed and it became a little chilly.
The minimum temperature was 8.8c.

Today feels crisp with patchy sun and high thin clouds that glistened pink at sunrise. It is 12c at 9am. Some lawbreakers are out shooting and my dog escaped the garden having me run about the road at 8am to catch him! Then repair the fencing.
Yesterday was another glorious day and many locals were out strimming gardens and digging or cultivating. The sea flat and groups of mothers with young children playing on the beach. As late afternoon came so the light winds started to bring clouds over the peaks and out over Roda and the sea. The maximum temperature was 19.2c. The sunset marred by cloud but some stars were visable and it was pleasant strolling to the taverna but very dark as again the village street lighting were not working.
The minimum temperature was 9.3c.

The forecasted thunderstorms arrived at about 4am lasting until just before 8am but it stayed mild and at 9am it was 14.3c. The clouds then cleared to sunny intervals and continues to thin.
Yesterday as the day progressed so the clouds thickened but sunny intervals, some prolonged, continued all day. A light breeze remained all day and the maximum temperature reached 19.3c. A mild cloudy evening followed.
The minimum temperature was 9.3c.

A very grey cloudy start with signs of overnight showers, a light wind and no sign of Albania. It is mild and 13c at 8am.
Yesterday the clouds following the storms continued to thin and then disappear almost completely and the suñny intervals became prolonged, with a light breeze it was very pleasant. The sea calm but signs of fresh seaweed on beach. The maximum temperature was 19.1c. Early evening was starlit but as night progressed so the cloud cover returned.
The minimum temperature was 13.9c.

Another grey cloudy start, rains from about 5am on and off even though cloud is high and lighter. Albania is more visible today and the wind has dropped away. At 9am it is 10.7c.
Yesterday stayed grey with a menacing look to the sky, almost black in places, well down ovrr the shoulders of the Pantocrator range and Albania invisible. The was a gusty but light wind but the odd glimpse of sun gave a glimmer of warmth. However about 3pm we had the mother of all thunderstorms for about hour and a half. As dark as mid evening with very loud constant thunderclaps and sheet lightening. The rain was not only very heavy but accompanied by small hailstones in large quantities, the wind gathering them up in piles a couple of inches deep. After the storm passed the cloud thinned and we had some sun before sunset, not enough to do much to yhe temperature that had fallen during the storm. The maximum was just 13.8c. Evening saw cloud cover but high and thin enough for a hazy moon to be seen, come 11.30pm the moon was clearer and there were stars in between the clouds. On the verges of the road and in sheltered grass areas there were still patches of ice from the earlier hailstones. The minimum temperature was 10.8c and that came during the thunderstor

This morning is clear and crisp with no breeze and looking set for a fine day. Temperature was still falling after i was up but has now started to rise but currently 10.7c. Visability is excellent and the sun is on the rise, already in Roda but not yet the village.
The rains yesterday morning continued on and off until about 11am but then the clouds started to rise and break up. Albania finally revealed itself and they had more snow on their peaks, probably from the thunderstorms the previous day. The sun broke through, first in intervals but by mid afternoon there were only the odd passing cloud and it was really pleasant with the temperature peaking at 18.1c. A nice sunset lead to a partial starlit evening but by time i left taverna after watch the incredible Barcelona game it was complete stars and was still feeling mild.
The minimum temperature was 10.0c.

A fine start to the day with hardly a cloud to be seen but it is hazy and Albania hardly visible. The sun is up and it is 12.9c at 9am.
After yesterday's fine start clouds formed over Pantocrator and rolled towards the sea giving sunny intervals. As the day progressed so the wind picked up and the clouds thinned, the small waves on the beach grew in size as the wind strengthened. The sun dominated the afternoon and we had a maximum of 19.5c. As evening fell so we had a starlit night That felt mild as the wind had dropped away.
The minimum temperature was 10.5c
