Hi everyone, back in 2005 we bought a small house in Roda, unfortunately the son of the family who sold us this house colluded with his lawyer and sold us a house that was not rightfully his to sell. Legally we do own 10% of the property. When we left the Island back in 2007 my father in law and his wife Dennis & Natalie Groombridge lived close to the house and always kept-ed an eye out, they have since passed away. If any one has any information as to if this house is occupied etc, we would be more than great full. please see image. Attachments:

Hi paulinda - we’ve driven past the glass shop today and, from the main road, the house looks very much as it does in your photograph. The shutters are closed and the balconies empty.

What on earth was your lawyer doing to allow that to happen ?

The house is behind and to the left of the glass merchant, mid-way between the main road and the back road. I can only assume that the person who ‘sold’ the house was one of a number of family members with an interest.

It is up to YOUR lawyer to check that no one else has a share of the house, that is what you pay them for.

Thank you all so much, it is excellent news to know the house is still standing. The reason we lost any chance of being the lawful owner of the property is that. The right full owner was a very old lady who lives in Athens, the son who sold us the property defrauded the paper work with the help of his Lawyer, the son was consequently arrested a given short term prison sentence. This would never have been brought to court if it wasn't for that fact that we had to transfer lawyer fees over a Five year period in hope that justice would be done and we would get 'our' house back. The lawyer got away scott free, as lawyers always do. As the old lady has now passed, the niece now owns 90% of ? as she cannot sell. Any further info would be great fully received. Happy to year to you all Paul & Linda xx

That’s why we have the ‘personal message’ option, John.

As with any one who has been convicted of a crime it is normal practice to name and shame, this is a person that stole every penny we had worked for and caused more heartache that one can imagine. I will PM the name to Steve, and leave it to his discretion as to how he can help in any way. Attachments:
