Hi Could anyone help me please and let me know the cost of Air Con at the Theodoras resort. My son has bad asthma and we cannot do without it but i just seen on trip advisor that it is €70.00 !! We are going in August for 2 weeks and I am now concerned over the cost. 😯. Thanks in advance.

Theo actually told me last night, but I’ve forgotten the exact details. Aircon in the new high quality ’superior’ rooms, available only through Thomas Cook, is €70 per week, but that includes two units - one in each of the bedrooms. I think lesser rooms are cheaper and booked for the full two weeks there is also a discount.

We stayed at Theos last month and paid 70 euro for a 1 bedroom studio for a fortnight - it was worth every penny. We always factor this cost into our savings for our holiday.

Thank you both for your repl very much appreciated. I am wondering whether it would be worth contacting them and discussing this as i have 2 rooms booked. I didnt realise it wasnt included. Do you think it would be cheaper to book it directly through Theo even if we have booked a package holiday. We are really excited to come to Roda. I have heard such amazing things about it.

Aircon is paid for locally on arrival with Theo or one of his staff. As Steve mentioned above, there may well be a discount if you are in an apartment with 2 bedrooms - there was the last time we had a 2-bed apartment.

Aircon at most accommodations is charged as an extra and most tour operators leave it up to the owners, their brochures advertising that it is 'payable locally'. If you are suggesting that you can book your rooms directly with Theodoros, then I’m afraid that’s not possible at this time of year. It is so popular that the complex is currently full and Theo’s plans for the future will guarantee that continues into the future.
I am a bit out of touch with aircon units, but I have always believed that here, they are what is commonly known in the trade as ‘comfort cooling.’ Is that sufficient for someone with asthma? True aircon systems contain particulate filters graded in microns, but I’m not sure what is used in hotels & homes locally.

We've just booked a superior maisonette for 2 wks not yr. Do we need to go back to the travel agent to book air conditioning or do we ask for it in reception when we check in. Thanks.

Hi Debra, I think you arrange it with Theo or Ioana when you arrive. I believe it’s always charged locally and it’s nothing to do with the tour company.
