We talked to Maureen & Jimmy a lot recently, sitting at their favourite table in New Port and at our first FGT of the year at Pirates’ Bar. They were excited about their annual trip to Sivota on the mainland, to see their old friends Vangelis (The Captain) & his wife Iota, and they were showing us photos of where Vangelis now works at a restaurant on the quayside over there.
Sadly, we’ve just heard that Jummy died suddenly in Sivota, sometime in the last few days. We believe that their son is now with them, and our deepest sympathy goes out to Maureen and her family. Jimmy will be greatly missed by so many friends from Roda.

OMG, I only met them at that first FGT of the year. Such nice people. So sad; and I add my sympathy to Maureen and her family at this time.

Can't say I know them, but that is so sad. Maybe know them to see - but I'm really bad with names.
My condolences to Maureen & all their family & friends.

We think Maureen was going to come back this week, rodge, but we were told she couldn’t easily get to the airport in the UK - Bristol, we think. Shame she didn’t make it this year.
