FGT CATCH UP
This week's FGT (21st. September) was in Pirates Bar. A small but very chatty group assembled at 11am. A couple of visitor's from our forum missed the meeting by mistaking the time. They were an hour too soon. Just a reminder all the FGT's are held at 11am. There was Steve and myself, Jan (AKA Kaz), Dave and Linda and Davy H and his partner Cheryl. As usual the talk was wide ranging and varied. The proposed land tax being backdated for many years was of concern as it could increase rents and also close many small holiday room rental businesses. Somehow the talk drifted to Lord Byron, who loved Greece, having visited Corfu several times. There is even a cafe bar on the Liston named after him. I remember a fact about him that his initials are carved into a temple at Cape Sounion the far side of Athens, which I saw in the 70's when first visiting Greece.
Catching up with previous FGT's, which are usually pooly attended in the high season as our visitors tend to one off visitors with families. August 17th at Nemo's there was Steve and myself and Cath and Rob. Consequently much of the talk centred around gardening and the produce. August 24th. at Crusoes there was Steve and myself only so we had a good catch up with Sara August 31st. at Roda Park there was Steve and myself. September 7th at New Port there was Steve and myself, Jan (Kaz) and Old Salty September 14th at Yummies there was Steve and me, Dave and Linda. Jan (Kaz) and Davy H. I forgot to take a photo but we had a good chat and included some other customers as well!

Today’s FGT at Theodoros will be the last one for this season. We will start again in May 2017.
