Good morning from Roda. It is a pretty good morning here. There are blue skies, not many clouds and it is warm. Now the not so good bit, there is quite a breeze blowing and it is chilling everything down from hot to warm, The sea is also showing lovely white horses cresting the waves. Not too sure if we will get a swim. The visibility though is very good with a clear view of Albania.
Yesterday was lovely and warm, not too hot, though it stayed breezy. The wind did get stronger for a while in the early afternoon, but died away to give a lovely afternoon. The cloud cover came and went, but just left thin high ones. Day slipped into night quietly with no great show. It is getting warmer in the evening as it was 18°C, nice!

Yesterday we had lovely sunshine all day, but we also had a strong wind, that made the beach area cooler. The sea was beautiful with its multi shades of blues and greens which were highlighted by the many white horses. The seas were too rough for boat trips, I image, and we certainly couldn't get near the water for a swim at Almyros. However in the sheltered bay of Roda it was still calm enough. The wind did abate a bit in the evening, though many bars and restaurants still had their screens down. It was still mild though as we strolled into the village early evening, and back again close to midnight, however if you were in a draught you knew about it! From what we saw the sunset was a non-event due to the lack of clouds. There was an amazing show of stars, and a twinkling of fireflies to end our day.
The readings at 10 am on Thursday 26th. May 2016 are:- Temperature 19.7°C and humidity 72%
Yesterday's maximum temperature was 20.5°C and the minimum was 14.1°C The maximum humidity was 71% and the minimum 55%

Good morning from Roda. We have lovely blue cloudless skies this morning. There is a warm breeze and a distinct haze leading to poorer visibility. Albania is just an outline. The sea has definitely calmed down, so we may well get a swim today.
Yesterday was delightful. It stayed warm and sunny all day, and positively hot if you got out of the breeze. The visibility remained good all day and the sea started calming down, but we didn't lose the white horses altogether. The evening was gorgeous and mild, with the breeze dying down, giving us a very pretty pastel sunset. It was still 20°C at 11pm!
The readings at 10 am on Friday 27th. May 2016 are:- Temperature 22.0°C and humidity 74%

Good morning from Roda. It is another lovely morning. We have blue skies, sunshine and a few wispy high clouds. There is a lovely warmth when you step outside. There is some haziness, so Albania is just a collection of colour co-ordinated grey peaks across the calm blue/ green sea. There is a gentle breeze which will be welcome later on in the day when the heat ramps up.
Yesterday stayed sunny and practically cloudless all day. The heat was tempered by the stiff on-shore wind, particularly in the afternoon. The north of the island was cooler than around the airport as they reported their maximum yesterday as 27°C , whereas the temperature in the north averaged around the 24°C we had here in Roda. As so often happens here, that breeze died down somewhat by the evening. The sea was calm enough for a swim, even outside the boundaries of Roda. It was a very pleasant evening, the visibility increased to give lovely views, and the temperature at 11pm was a pleasant 20°C. We were treated to a lovely show of fireflies filling the field next to us with their twinkling dance. The heavens were an amazing starlit firmament. OK, one disappointment, it was definitely a no show for the sunset. The sun just quietly took itself off to bed and nobody noticed.
The readings at 10 am on Saturday 28th. May 2016 are:- Temperature 21.0°C and humidity 69%
Yesterday's maximum temperature was 24.0°C and the minimum was 16.2°C . The maximum humidity was 74% and the minimum 55%

Good morning from Roda. It is a bit of a strange old morning. We have lots of high cloud that at times shield the sun, but it is bright and warm. It gives the impression of being hazy but the visibility is good. We can see the detail of the Albanian mountains. The sea is calm and a greyish colour, with a streak of dark blue/grey near Albania where the deep water is. The breeze is almost not there.
Yesterday was a perfect day, well for Roda it was. I understand that the morning mist delayed planes arriving at Corfu airport until mid- morning. We had wall to wall sunshine at the time! The breeze remained gentle all day, strengthening a bit, as usual, in the afternoon, then dying down for the evening. The sea had certainly heated up a lot and because it was so calm we enjoyed many swims in the afternoon. The high clouds increased early evening, but failed to give anything in the way of a sunset. A lovely warm, still evening for eating our dinner on the balcony. It was still 20°C at midnight.
The readings at 10 am on Sunday 29th. May 2016 are:- Temperature 22.4°C and humidity 57%
Yesterday's maximum temperature was 25.6°C and the minimum was 15.1°C . The maximum humidity was 74% and the minimum 57%

Good morning from Roda. It is another day of high clouds and hazy sunshine. There is not a breath of wind and the sea is calm. It is a funny shade of yellowy/ grey, but I know it is warming up nicely after several swims yesterday. The visibility is not as bad as you would expect from the haziness, you can still see Albania. It was a warm night with a minimum of 17°C.
Yesterday was hot despite of, or maybe even because, that persistent high cloud. It was thick enough to hide the sun at times. The breeze only got noticeable during the afternoon, then died away by evening. Early evening the visibility cleared, leading to a lovely warm starlit night, no jackets required! The fireflies are taking advantage of the warm evenings, 20°C at 11pm, and were flashing away beautifully last night.
The readings at 10 am on Monday 30th. May 2016 are:- Temperature 22.8°C and humidity 57%
Yesterday's maximum temperature was 27.8°C and the minimum was 16.7°C . The maximum humidity was 69% and the minimum 47%
29th. May 2015 Maximum temperature 22.2°C, minimum 13.6°C Maximum UV 9.

So 5 degrees warmer than last year. If its that amount up in July and August, on the same comparison it will be well into the 40's.

400C is plenty hot enough, daveandpaula ... luckily, the highest ever recorded temperature in Corfu was 42.80C in 2007. It doesn’t happen too often.

Good morning from Roda. We have a lovely start to the day. There are blue skies, sunshine and a lack of wind. Albania is just about visible across the flat calm blue sea.
Don't blame me for the rain here yesterday, I am merely the messenger. The clouds built up, totally unexpectedly as wall to wall sunshine was forecast by all the weather stations we check. A few drops were felt just before 12 midday and they proceded to increase to give us quite a heavy downpour that fizzled out by 1pm. The rain never reached Almyros as it was still bone dry when we headed for a swim. Then the clouds just started breaking up to give a lovely afternoon. It remained nice into the evening and we had an amazing sunset. Complimented by the super yacht moored off Roda. A very mild evening with temperature at 20°C at 11pm again.
The readings at 9 am on Tuesday 31st. May 2016 are:- Temperature 20.9°C and humidity 74%

Good morning from Roda. We have a very cloudy start to the day. It is a very still mild morning with no wind and a calm sea. There are some very bright white but low clouds half way up the mountains of Albania. The visibility is good, and despite the clouds no rain is forecast.
Yesterday was beautiful for the most part, just the right amount of heat, blue skies, sunshine and just an occasional cooling breeze. It did cloud over a bit late afternoon, but they were thin high ones. There were enough hanging around with a few of their thicker friends to give us an amazing sunset.
The readings at 10 am on Wednesday 1st. June 2016 are:- Temperature 20.8°C and humidity 67%
Yesterday's maximum temperature was 23.4°C and the minimum was 16.2°C . The maximum humidity was 77% and the minimum 64%

Well today in the north east it was 11 and not a warm 11 may I add. U V today meant Under Velcro (coat fastened up) roll on the 1st of August so I can take off 3 layers of clothes at this rate. We were told it was going to be hot in June and July. Well they have 29 days left this month to get it right.

Good morning from Roda. It is lovely here this morning. We have blue skies, sunshine and a fringe of fluffy white clouds on the periphery, especially over Albania's mountains. There is a gentle warm breeze, the sea is calm and back to its normal shade of blueness.
Yesterday was a bit of a mixed bag weather-wise. The clouds that started the day petered out early afternoon. They just melted away to give an hour or two of lovely sunshine, then they rolled back in again. Though still warm and bright there was some gentle rain for a couple of hours late afternoon/ early evening. It was a bit half- hearted as it didn't really wet the ground. The evening itself was warm with barely a breeze, and the odd star shining through broken cloud.
I have added some photos to show how beautiful Roda and Corfu are. The first one is of the sunset a couple of days ago when the super yacht was moored here. It is a bit paler than it should be, but still quite a good example of the pastel sunsets we get. The other two were taken in Corfu Town on a visit on Tuesday, the sea at Faliraki and Town Hall Square. The readings at 10 am on Thursday 2nd. June 2016 are:- Temperature 21.2°C and humidity 74%
Yesterday's maximum temperature was 24.4°C and the minimum was 15.0°C . The maximum humidity was 72% and the minimum 62%
2nd. June 2015 Maximum temperature 24.6°C, minimum 16.1°C Maximum UV 8.
The reported UV for today is 9 ( Range 1- 11+). It is hot in the sun, take care and apply that sunscreen and seek shade around noon. UK range 1- 8 The UV Index does not exceed 8 in the UK (8 is rare; 7 may occur on exceptional days, mostly in the two weeks around the summer solstice).

Good morning from Roda. It is a lovely morning here. We have blue skies, white fluffy clouds around the Albanian mountains and a few towards ours. There is a gentle warm breeze wafting the smell of freshly cut mint from one of the fields near us. The sea is blue and slightly rippled, we should get a swim.
Yesterday stayed nice all day. The clouds did the right thing and stayed mostly on the periphery, just, at times, the odd one got in the way of the sun during the afternoon . The breeze remained gentle all day except for the usual build up in the afternoon. It died away, and the skies cleared almost completely by late afternoon. Just a few clouds were left skimming the tops of our mountains. The breeze dropped completely in the evening, and the clouds disappeared to give us a pretty but not spectacular sunset.
The readings at 10 am on Friday 3rd. June 2016 are:- Temperature 21.1°C and humidity 74%
Yesterday's maximum temperature was 22.8°C and the minimum was 16.0°C . The maximum humidity was 77% and the minimum 66%

Good morning from Roda. It is a beautiful morning here in Roda. We have a lovely blue sky, sunshine and a few thin clouds dotted around the sky. There is a fairly strong but warm breeze and white horses out on the blue sea. The visibility is very good today.
Yesterday was lovely, warm and sunny. The white clouds got a bit thicker and lumpier over Albania and stayed there. There was the usual afternoon breeze before it all settled down and the clouds melted away. The waves started getting bigger with long rolling ones hitting the shore here in front of the Coral Hotel. The evening was very mild with a clear star lit sky, after a so- so sunset. It was still 20°C at 11.30pm.
The photos are taken this morning from our north balcony and show our gorgeous view today and our small vegetable plot that has kept Steve busy since we came back and it looked like a buttercup field.
The readings at 10 am on Saturday 4th.June 2016 are:- Temperature 21.7°C and humidity 71%
Yesterday's maximum temperature was 23.3°C and the minimum was 16.9°C . The maximum humidity was 77% and the minimum 65%
