I'm bemused by the number of people that labour under the mis-apprehension that with package holidays and all inclusive all the extras' are free. free insurance , free food free this and free that. It's nothing of the kind it's all build into the price you pay. Surely nobody believes that the Tour companies are providing the extras out of the kindness of their corporate heart. They operate on the basis of screwing every last penny out of the customer nothing less!!

Obviously that is the case it's business. However it is good when you get all that like Paula and myself did. Its a nice for it to happen because only 2 years ago we had to pay insurance and food. The cost for 2 weeks then was believe it or not- more than the 3 weeks we've paid for this year with all the trimmings.Pegasus 2 years ago Afrodite this year both great hotels.

Wholeheartedly agree Kernowman - it's all built into the price of your holiday. Unless they offer you a "special offer" like they did with us - then suggest you add all the extras (pick your seat on the plane, food on plane, transfer to/from resort, insurance etc etc - all at an additional cost) hahahahaha! It's a bit like when they offer you a "free child place" resulting in the adults in the party each paying an under-occupancy supplement!

I agree - there's no such thing as something for nothing!
AND the hotel/apartment owners get virtually nothing from these companies - sometimes just given to them at the end of the season (if they're lucky to get it at all.)
Would rather line the locals pockets than the travel company fat cats!

I do the same jacks, just book a flight and pay the rest to the locals...I would have pay for two people if I travel with a company

There is a regular bus from the airport to San Roco Square and the port, but not to the bus station. There is probably one from San Roco to the bus station. pete.

Does anybody know if there is aBus service between the Airport and the Green bus station and if there is timings? There is the Blue bus No 15 that goes from the airport to the Green bus station. It goes to the green bus station, then San Rocco and ends up at the Cruise ship terminus. Here is a link to the timetable.

We arrived yesterday and we had arranged airport transfer with NSK Travel at €30 Euros which was a price mistake but everything went according to plan Got picked up exactly on time via a lovely new mini bus which came straight to Roda. 1st class service and i would not hesitate to usee NSK again, well done Peggy and staff.

Well we arrived 1st August at the airport we were put on a mini bus straight to Afrodite via Mitsi beach. 55 mins thought we were right ha cracked it saving money by using transfer. 3 weeks later lovely mini coach arrived we were first on and then went to Acharavi Ipsos Dassia via toilet stop for one man. How long over 2 hours. P.s. saw Durrell's white house ha. I know what to do in future like what you have all said just get a taxi or walk might have been quicker.
I stand corrected.
So saddle sore when we got off haha.

Last September I arranged a transfer for 5 from the airport to Roda through SunTransfers - I got an insanely good deal. i checked today for our holiday next year and it has quadrupled in price! The service was very good and arrived at the hotel (Mitsis) 2.5 hours before the coach. Traveling from Roda to the Airport I booked through the infamous corfuairporttransfers - and got a good deal and fantastic service. Indeed it was too good - we left an hour and a half after the coach, and were first to check-in and had way too much time at the airport. The worrying thing, however, was when we were being dropped off at the airport, the driver should have being picking someone up in Sidari.
Anyway, looking at next year I will be hiring a car and thought that getting it at the airport would have been a good idea - but we land at 2am and the Roda road in the light is bad enough, let alone the dark!

Best to book a taxi transfer online beforehand. We always use Alfa taxis and have never been let down. However normal taxis are only licensed to carry four passengers so would probably need something larger with them. www.alfataxicorfu.net/Alfa-Pricing.html
