Hi I was wondering if anyone would be able to help me. I would like to know if George and Helen still operate their boat trips in the village

Not for several years now, Paul. You will still find them in the village, and there are other boat trips available through the various travel shops.

Sadly, George sold the boat three years ago as he wanted to retire. Last time we were there, Helen had a part time job in Sunriders(Bike Hire)near the cross roads, might be worth popping in to see next time your there... Cheers, Malc

Back in the day I think there were only 2 boat trip options. Them or the character that was Capt Kosta. Is he still about?

If its Captain Kostas who moored his boat at Astrakeri, deep booming voice and big moustache, then unfortunately he passed away about 20 years ago. I met his wife who was working as the Chef at the Roda Oasis Hotel, lovely lady and really pleased that I remembered him.
Once met never forgotten LOL!

That's sad. He was certainly a big personality to be seen wandering through the village. Antony
