My name is Dave, I'm in my 50s, live in South Bucks, UK and I have been a very frequent visitor to Corfu for a decade now. I have mainly stayed in Sidari but also in Corfu Town. I have walked the Corfu Trail, thereby staying in many places around the Island, and the Athens Marathon both to raise money for Corfu Donkey Rescue. I have also spent a few days on each of Ericoussa, Mathraki and Othoni, walking each Island completely in the process.
Over the years I have travelled the whole Island visiting dozens of villages and resorts including Roda a few times. I have recently purchased a holiday home (and my future retirement home) and the works I needed doing were completed during the winter/spring and the furniture arrived. I stayed in it for the first time in May and will be back in July. My home is on the edge of the village of Sfakera hence the reason for me to now join your forum for more local information. I look forward to meeting with you on my next visit.
Welcome to the forum, Dave, and welcome to Sfakera ... I hope that retiring here will be as rewarding for you as it is for us. I am quite envious of the time you have spent on the islands and it is still a dream to do what you have done. It would be so good to list the walks available around Roda, for people of all abilities - maybe you’re just the man to help us with that. Hopefully, we’ll get to meet in July.

A very warm welcome to you Dave, we are lovely bunch on here young and old. Each and every one of us has a slightly different experience of roda, I'm sure there will be many of us more than happy to help you, should you require any further information. Please don't hesitate to ask any of us, we are all friendly and approachable.
Thank you for your welcomes. Sadly retirement a few years away yet unless situations change; Carol it seems you have the same wish; keep the dream it may happen for you - I had it and it became possible to buy; now just have to enjoy holidays and work towards retirement (or find a job in Corfu ). Still I can enjoy my nice holiday home and my children (and grandchildren) have a holiday home as well if they wish to use; none have ever been to Corfu so they don't know what they are missing.
I will post a few walks in the next month and explore some new ones to add over time.
