Good morning from a sunny Roda. The sun is out, the skies are blue with thin high cloud, and we have a very gentle breeze. There is the usual mistiness over Albania and the Corfu hills could be a bit clearer. Yesterday was another lovely day, sunny, with very little wind, but the evening seemed chilly in comparison, though the temperature at 11.45pm was 18.8oC. The UV factor for yesterday was 8, so take care in the sun, it burns!
Today's readings at 9.35am on 15th May are:- Temperature 20.4oC and humidity 66% Yesterday's maximum temperature was 23.8oC and the minimum 14.4oc, the maximum humidity was 65% and the minimum 48%. Just a reminder these temperature readings are in the shade!

Good afternoon everyone, many apologies. for my late report. We had a power cut here this morning and we were out when it was restored. Any how here goes. The day was warm from the beginning ,but the high clouds were thicker and the haziness persisted. However by the time I did my readings the temperature was rising, the skies had cleared, the haziness dissipated, and a lovely day was in prospect. Yesterday was a hot sunny day tempered by a quite blustery breeze which eased off to give a lovely mild evening. The UV for yesterday was 7 (Range 1- 11).
Today's readings at 9.35am on the 16th May were:- Temperature 23.9oC and humidity 52% Yesterday's maximum temperature was 28.2oC and the minimum 15.5oC, the maximum humidity was 70% and the minimum 41%

Another lovely day is in prospect. We have blue skies. wispy clouds, sunshine and barely any wind. Yesterday was our hottest yet (28.1oC!), after the high cloud dissipated, and the breeze died down by late morning, the day had settled into a scorcher. The morning haziness melted to give a lovely clear view of the Corfiot hills, though Albania was still indistinct. The evening was mild but felt cool even though the temperature at 11.50pm was 21.2oC.
Today's readings at 9.50am on 17th May are:- Temperature 21.4oC and humidity 53% Yesterday's maximum temperature was 28.1oC and the minimum 18.4oC, the maximum humidity was 60% and the minimum 32%

Today it is cloudy, but the sun is trying to break through. The usual mistiness veils Albania and the hills behind us, and there is barely any wind to speak off. Yesterday was a lovely day, calm , with clear blue skies abundant sunshine, though slightly cooler than the day before. The evening was mild but seemed chilly after such a nice day, the temperature was 19oC at midnight.
Today's readings on 18th May at 9.50 am are:- Temperature 22.1oC and humidity 56% Yesterday's maximum temperature was 24.8oC and the minimum 17.6oC, the maximum humidity was 56% and the minimum 42%

So pleased you are enjoying these little reports of mine. I know when I was back in the UK I would have loved to have known what it was like out in Roda. It would have made the village seem closer.

Good morning from Roda. Sorry the report is very late today. I have my family staying here at the moment so our evenings are spent with them, so we are having very late nights. We eventually awoke to cloudy skies, it is bright, but not sure if the sun will manage to break through. Albania must have gone on its holidays as it is invisible across the water. The hills behind us are hazy as well. Yesterday turned out to be much better than I thought, the clouds cleared and we had a lovely sunny morning. The afternoon was cloudier with good long sunny spells. However by mid evening we had a sharp hail/ thunder storm only lasting minutes. The villages around us had downpours, so we were lucky. When we went out around nine we had a double lighting show. There was an amazing show by the fireflies, the fields next to us positively sparkled with thousands of the little lights, and the sheet lightening was lighting up the skies. The rain stayed away as far as I can tell.
Today's readings at 10.30am on 19th May are:- Temperature 21.3oC and humidity 68% Yesterday's maximum temperature was 24.6oC and the minimum 16.2oC, the maximum humidity was 62% and the minimum 45% The UV level for today is 5 ( I take this reading from the BBC weather site)

Good morning from a sunny Roda. We awoke to clear blue skies, only a few high clouds, sunshine and very little wind. The usual haziness veils Albania and the hills behind us It promises to be a glorious day. Yesterday started out cloudy , and after a couple of very brief showers in the morning, the sun came out to give a pleasant afternoon. Then the clouds came back and we had a thunderstorm with some heavy rain by mid evening. It wasn't that long lasting before the storm drifted off elsewhere. The clouds cleared and we had a lovely clear skies late evening with the temperature at 11.25pm 19.2oC.
Today's readings at 8.35am on 20th May are:- Temperature 18.5oC and humidity 76% Yesterday's maximum temperature was 25.0oC and the minimum 17.0oC, the maximum humidity was 71% and the minimum was 54%. The UV for today is 7.

Good morning from a cloudy Roda. When I first looked out off the window it was bright and sunny, but the clouds have rolled in and it is hazy, as Albania has just about disappeared. It is slightly cool with very little wind. Yesterday was hot and sunny all day, but a strong breeze arrived in the afternoon to take the shine off it. Some parts of the island reached 26oC, I was at Aqualand with my kids and their kids, and there were many burnt bodies by the end of the afternoon. The evening was mild after the breeze died down. The temperature at 11.35pm was 19.4oC.
Today's readings on 21st May at 9.05am are:- Temperature 19.5oC and humidity 71% Yesterday's maximum temperature was 23.8oC and the minimum was 15.7oC, the maximum humidity was 76% and the minimum 59%. Predicted UV for today is 7 (European range 1- 11)

Good morning from Roda. We awoke to strong southerly winds, cloudy, with Albania barely visible across the channel, whilst the hills behind us are fairly clear. The sky though is starting to break up, so, hopefully, we will have a nice day as the wind subsides. It was 25oC at 8.00am when Steve went to make our morning cuppa! Yesterday started off dull and cloudy without much wind, we had a few spots of rain that barely wet the road, but the sun started to break through the odd time in the afternoon. It was warm enough, and by evening we had clear skies. The maximum temperature here was a couple of degrees higher than some parts of Corfu, this is probably due to the mountainous nature of the island causing little pockets of micro climates. Roda is generally a bit cooler and a lot drier than the surrounding areas, and just the odd time we are a bit warmer!
Today's readings at 9.50am on 22nd May are:- Temperature 25.6oC and humidity 41% Yesterday's maximum temperature was 26.4oC and the minimum 15.4oC, the maximum humidity was 74% and the minimum 54% The predicted UV is 5.

Good morning from a notably fresher Roda. We have clear blue skies, sunshine, a cool breeze and pretty good visibility of Albania and the Corfu hills. Yesterday was a difficult day due to the southerly wind from Saharan Africa, it was like someone had turned the oven on! Everywhere was covered in orange dust.We had 25oC at 8.00am and 28.4oC under full cloud, and it was so windy. That wind took a long time to blow itself out and the clouds away, to give a very pleasant late afternoon and evening, at 11.24pm it was 23.4oC. We have had a little rain overnight.
Today's readings at 8.40am on 23rd May are:- Temperature 19.9oC and humidity 64% Yesterday's maximum temperature was 28.4oC and the minimum18.2oC, the maximum humidity was 70% and the minimum 35% The reported UV for today is 8

So sorry, just realised that my weather report for today failed to post. More haste less speed oops! We awoke to blue skies with a few clouds affecting the sunshine, and there was a cool breeze. Yesterday was cooler with plenty of sunshine though there was quite a breeze. This breeze died down to give us a lovely mild evening with few clouds and lovely evening skies. The visibility dropped so we had lovely views of Albania and the Corfu hills. It was 21oC at 9.45pm.
Today's readings at 9.45am on 24th May are:- Temperature 22.8oC and humidity 69% Yesterday's maximum temperature was 22.5oC and the minimum 17.4oC, the maximum humidity was 66% and the minimum 44% The reported UV for today is 8, so despite cooler temperatures please don't get burnt.

Good morning from a sunny Roda, and back to the right time for posting this report. Today we have mostly blue skies, but Albania is hidden behind a bank of clouds and we have heavier looking clouds topping the hills behind us. There is a cool breeze coming off the sea. Yesterday was a bit hit and miss, with sunshine and clouds and a cool breeze, so it felt slightly chilly at times when the breeze and the clouds happened at the same time (time to hit the bars, cafes and restaurants). The breeze did die down in the evening to give the usual glorious evening skies and beautiful views across the sea. It was 22.5oC at 9.20pm.
Today's readings at 9.55am on 25th May are:- Temperature 19.8oC and humidity 67% Yesterday's maximum temperature was 22.8oC and the minimum 16.2oC, the maximum humidity was 71% and the minimum 45%. The predicted UV is 8 (Range 1- 11) so slap on that sun cream, we saw a lady with such a badly burnt back yesterday.

Good morning from a sunny Roda, we awoke to blue skies with the occasional very thin high cloud. There is a gentle breeze and only slight haziness, so Albania is clearly visible across the sea. Yesterday was a lovely day, sunny and not too hot, and the afternoon breeze died down to give a pleasant evening. The clouds that covered Albania gradually cleared during the day, lovely to look at but they didn't affect our sunshine at all. The evening skies and the views along the bay and across to Albania have been lovely these last few days as the daytime humidity drops. The temperature at 11.00pm was 19.4oC.
Today's readings at 10.00am on 26th May are:- Temperature 20.2oC and humidity 62% Yesterday's maximum temperature was21.5oC and the minimum was 15.6oC, the maximum humidity was 71% and the minimum 45% The reported UV for today is 8 (Range 1- 11) So, despite the cooler temperatures, that sun burns, take care we want you to enjoy all of your holiday.
