Looking at the weather for the region, there is the most horrendous storm passing over the eastern Adriatic which must be severely affecting the northern Balkan states. We may get a little of the trailing edges and it may be the reason some flights are delayed today.

It looks as though the heron might get its feathers ruffled today as a big storm passing over Serbia brings strong northerly winds to Roda. It will cool things down a bit though, as last night's temperature was more like early August.

The storm has moved off over Crimea now and the winds are abating - it's been a startlingly clear day ... great for walking. Next big day is Friday - rain forecast.

Only three more sleeps and back to our favourite place. We have packed our kagools this time after the storm three weeks ago. I am also bringing some loom bands for Costas 5 year old daughter from Roda Park a visitor to their restaurant asked if anyone who was coming out could bring some as they can not be bought in Corfu, it is my pleasure and I have packed some for her. Looking forward to seeing everyone.

Loom bands must be available here, Barbara, we've seen lots of local children with them ... very popular this year.
