Hi Gil, I would like to wish you both every success in your new home. I have spent many happy hours at Villa Olga when my father in law and his wife spent several years living there in the nineties. May it bring you both the same amount of pleasure that they encountered there. All the best, Mark and Jenny.

Glad you found the site, Gil - hopefully you have a pitch close enough to the WiFi. It's a lovely town and we will be back there to see more. It's the site where we hear green woodpeckers for the first time and 'woody' tends to follow us all across France & Italy. We've never had a stopover there though - when's market day?

For Mark&Jenny - are you related to Mags and Derek?? We too spent many happy hours at Villa Olga, many of them listening to Derek's latest rant!! Yes, I was married to Derek's daughter Wendy. Shared so many happy times there over the years. Derek and Maggie both put their heart and soul into the several years that they lived there, always making sure the gardens were a wonderful array of vibrant colours. Now the mantel has been passed over to Gil and Sue to start their new journey and new life in Sfakera. Good luck in your new venture.

Thank you all for your comments on our journey.
I need to let you all know that during our journey we have had some not so good news that Villa Olga in Sfakera will now not be our resting place. We received a message from the owners that there is now a major problem with the electric legality at the property and will take a long time to resolve with the government. The owners are just as upset as we are and we have no issues with them over the problem we trust what we are being told so the hunt for a house will start in unrest as soon as we arrive. We still have our caravan in tow so a roof over our heads is no problem.
Rest assured we are still very upbeat and enjoying our trip.
Gil & Sue
Sorry if the pics are the wrong way round Saint-Jean-Des Vignes cathedral Soissons what a spectacular sight

It will take more than losing a villa to spoil your dreams ... good luck to both of you. You realise that, having seen your photo, we now have to stop over in Soissons!
Best wishes, Steve
