Apart from northern Italy's tromboncino, this year's great discovery in the garden has been the 'Cucamelon' - grape-sized fruits that taste of cucumber with a hint of lime. This a very old plant that has not been tampered with - yet! - and what a joy it is. It might be an Aztec plant, but it seems to love the weather in Greece. See CUCAMELONS

I've planted our two in the garden, gremlindog, and they are going mental! A drop of rain tonight would be just perfect ...
