Hi all,
We returned from our week in Roda on Wed 2nd July.
This is a short rundown of our week.
Thanks to Roda park for arranging my wife's birthday party on their Greek night. All 9 of us had a fantastic time. Costas arranged flowers, cake and champagne, and dressed the reserved table beautifully. I somehow visited the gents, and returned dressed as superman in a red wig!!!! Go figure!!
We ate at, Nikos family taverna, Pangalos,Drosia, stenki???,Ninos on the beach.acharavi park.
I can honestly say, 9 of us ate 3 courses for 7 nights, and could not complain about any of the food we ate. Every night the Food, wine, service, and atmosphere was perfect.
On more than one occasion we found ourselves walking back to the delightful Ninos on the beach, along the moonlit seashore path, at gone 3 am after great after dinner, dancing and singing nights at, Oscars, Drunken sailor, Big Ben, and Pirates bar.
Never had a bad night, staff were friendly, helpful, and we lost count of the free drinks or shots that were offered to the group.also Oscars always offered to take our group home in staff cars free of charge.
Great stop off points for a coffee or a cheeky beer were, the brandy shop, and the delightful boathouse.and Sandys bar.
We went on a beautiful " lazy day" boat cruise from Kassiopi on the Saturday. This was our highlight of the week.
We arranged it through Cosmic. We visited five beaches or bays for stop offs. You could swim or snorkel, or sunbathe. Or go ashore to visit tavernas or small trinket shops.
When we got to the beautiful turtle bay, my daughters boyfriend surprised us all by producing a beautiful engagement ring and dropping on one knee in the sand and proposing.
The captain provided six bottles of bubbly for our group afterwards free of charge.
Please try to visit Nissaki beach. I have never seen water so clear or such a beautiful beach. But our captain warned us not to visit after dusk, as you will be eaten alive by mossies!!
This was our second visit to Roda, the weather was perfect, the people are friendly, and I got the feeling that the village is ready and waiting to welcome all visitors, young and old, from all countries. They are set up and ready to provide magical moments to the tourist.
I officially have the " Roda bug" and have secured our favourite room at Ninos for September.
I titled this thread Highs and lows, but sorry to disappoint, but I cannot think of a single low!!!!
Regards to all,
Andy Smith.
