Stock up with water when you are airside, if you are flying to Roda this week. It was 300C in the shade tonight at 6:30pm.

Always make sure we have plenty with us, for the journey up from the airport, even when we're arriving late on. And it's always the first thing I purchase (well, maybe second, after a Mythos) from Makis, for my room. Hope the weather has to stay decent. Any long range I look at, it's still looking a bit dodgy.

Long range forecasts are not very accurate, Jacks, and anyway, Roda's summer weather is not typical of the island. It rained in several places beyond the mountains recently, but we were fine.

That's what I keep saying to my mum & dad. How many times have we been sitting in glorious weather & there's storms at the other side of the mountains.

Our place is only a 15minute walk from the village yet it sometimes pours down whist it is brilliant sunshine in the village & vice versa.Dave

It is very warm & humid in Roda at the moment and a sudden southerly wind made it even hotter this afternoon and blew us all about a bit. It's settled now - 26C at 9:00pm.

Please take care next week to drink plenty of water and keep cool. Temperatures in the shade for next weekend reach 36C which, on Saturday, are accompanied by a southerly wind which will make it feel more like 43C! This will feel like the highest temperatures ever recorded for Corfu. The highest actual temperature ever was recorded was in 2007 at 42.8C.
