We used to leave hydropolis and make straight for the sea front by walking through the grounds of the hotel complex(about 200m). We then walked along the beach (pebbly in parts)into Acharavi stopping for a drink on the way. We would then carry on and find somewhere to eat on the seafront before walking back to our apartment which is next to the Coral hotel. It is an easy walk and very enjoyable. The first time we did it our daughters were five and eight.

Hi 'eggheaddad'.
Hope these links are of some help . . .
. . . and the location on the map within this link is (for once) actually correct !!!
Rgds, Chris PS. I've just remembered that questions about these apartments were raised a couple of years ago. I've now found the thread, so here's the link to that as well

Hi all, I am brand new to the forum. Came to Roda for the first time last October and lived it. I am returning with my family on June 25th. We are staying again at Ninos on the beach.we wish to go on a boat trip with barbeque and different swimming stops. Any ideas? Thanks.

Erikoussa was always a nice island trip but haven't done it for donkey's years. Capt Kostas and George & Helen used to run the local boat trips but I'm sure some of our fellow members can provide more up to date advice.

hey crainycrunch, welcome to roda online! Our good friend Rena at NSK travel has loads of boat trips, even some that match your description identically, whereby you have a boat trip that takes you off for the day, you visit some of many private bays along the Ionian coast line. Followed by barbecue lunch it's a boat trip that I haven't done personally but it's always popular. Good luck, you can hire boats as well there are a few in the village that allow you to hire them for the day, you can travel at your own leisure this way.
Regards Kelly

I done one twice last year. Taken round to Kassiopi by bus. Onto the boat - fabby boat, captain & crew (all 2 of them! lol) First stop is at Kalamaki beach, for 1.5 hours or so. Very shallow water - crystal clear. Beautiful sandy beach, with sunloungers & umbrellas (you have to pay for those) & a couple of tavernas. Back on the boat & you head round the east coast - the captain (Spiros) is good at giving information about the places you're passing, over the tannoy. Next stop off is at a beach (pebble/stones) that is only accessible by boat. Water gets deep very quickly, but it's beautiful, crystal clear. This is where the bbq is served. The food was VERY good on this trip. Been on ones previous that were awful. Pork souvlaki, tzatziki, salad, sausage, bread & wine or soft drinks. You can also buy a small selection of beer, wines & spirits on the boat. Once the time's finished here, it's time to start heading back up the coast, stopping along the way, at the 'Blue Cave', where you can swim/jump off the boat into very deep, crystal clear water. And one of the crew will take you into the cave and you can swim through it - it's not big! From there, it's time to head back to Kassiopi, for the bus back to Roda. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Oh! One more thing to add - you may see dolphins on your trip, if you're VERY lucky!

Keep up, Kelly - your good friend Rena is now next door to your favourite bar. She has again started her own travel shop called Corfu Best Travel. There will be a new page online under Roda Pages by tomorrow.

Rena's travel shop is new, Kelly - in the old Caesar's Place Shop. She no longer works for NSK.

Hi Kelly, You said the captains name was spiros, and the food was good. Can you request this boat, or is it pot luck which boat you get?
