Hi everyone, we are coming to Roda for the first two weeks in September and Pauline would like to know how cool we can expect it to get in the evening and also if she should take a long sleeved or short sleeved cardigan. I am hoping that it will be too warm to need either but she wants to be prepared, more luggage to carry , but better safe than sorry as they say. Hope you ladies can advise us, Michael and Pauline.

Hi michealandpauline....I think it's best you take a long sleeved cardigan, shawl or summer jacket....I always take a shawl & cardi......only when it's been hot during the day and you may have been sunbathing, you may feel a chill in the air come evening...I always leave a plastic mac out there (amongst other things!!)..you can always wear the cardi & jacket to the airport....then Michael will have less weight to carry!!!......also there are a couple of cheap shops for you to purchase one...or two ""

Kaz and Jacks are right - you will need a cardigan or lightweight jacket for the evenings in September.
regards, Kath.

Kath,Your letting the Geordie nation down, what's wrong with your miniskirt & vest although in hindsight I think we may be getting a bit older & wiser now.Linda has problems trying to get my fleece off me when we go out in the evenings.Dave

Dave, for the purposes of the forum I was agreeing that some people (generally "southern softees") may feel a tad cool in the evenings - we all know that even now the lasses are down the quayside in Newcastle on an evening in their gownless evening straps.
best wishes, Kath.

Washington - you will be nearer to Kath Rippon there than to Dave and I - but enjoy yourself - at least you know the dress code now!
best wishes, Kath.
