Hi Dorsetman, I always buy my euros on-line from Travelfx (different to travelex), they are usually a cent or two above the average and deliver very quickly and safely, Michael and Pauline.

I agree completely Michael & Pauline - I've been recommending "TravelFX" for a couple of years now, as per this thread . . .
. . . but many have doubted the fact that the rates are truly without commission etc?

Hi Chris and Liz We hope the rates are still favourable from 28th August onwards. I'll let you draw your own conclusions to this post.

Just found out that TravelFX have upped their free delivery on orders from £500 to £700, it is still a good site as they send you low denominations of 50 euro notes and below if asked, and are usually a higher rate than most sites, just be aware of the £5 delivery charge if ordering less than £700 worth. Already got mine when the rate was just over 1.20 so all I have to do now is wait for the end of August to spend them , Michael and Pauline.

As you're probably aware, I've often promoted that FX provider on this Forum as probably the best for Euro rates.
Today, their rate just hit the 'magic' rate of €1.20 - so I jumped in and bought my holiday money right away.
Since my order was for more than £700, I managed to get an actual (cash in the hand) rate, delivered to my home address, of €1.2015

I'm guessing it was around about €1.19

WOW 'smg' and 'cuthbert' - if that's the case then the N&P Card is providing by far the best rates I've heard of.

It is one of the few that do not charge for withdrawals abroad and you get the Interbank/Visa rate. I changed to N & P when Nationwide started charging for withdrawals abroad and am very pleased with it. I too got £1.21 a few days ago.

These cards are all well and good while the rate is high, but who knows what the rate will be in September which is when I will be needing the Euros. I think that I will stick to TravelFX at least then I know exactly what I am getting for my Pound. Michael and Pauline.
