hi ya all - my family and I [ 9 ] are going to be in Roda for 12 days in July, it will be my Sons 18th Birthday whilst we are there - i know he is going to want to spend the day at Aqualand - so i was wondering if it would be cheaper to buy tickets whilst we are still in England, or to wait until we are there, taking into consideration transport to and from Aqualand, it would probably be by local bus service or would it be better to buy tickets with a local rep, - also can you give me some suggestions on where would be the best place to eat to celebrate his 18th, in our group, there are 3 children, 11,9,7 so it would need to be suitable for them too - im not looking for anything too expensive but reasonable and last but not least where will i be able to order a birthday cake from - please help - cant wait to get there!!...........xx

It is probably better to book your trip to Aqualand through one of the travel shops in the village. It will certainly be cheaper and better than through your travel company but do make sure to ask if the coach goes DIRECTLY to the water park as it can make a big difference to the time spent there. Some trips collect from other resorts en route and you may lose a couple of hours in travelling. There are several family-friendly restaurants in Roda, particularly El Mar, Alexandros and Roda Park. Many restaurants will provide a cake for a party if given a day or two notice, or you can organise your own from Jo-Ann's Bakery on the main beach road.

Thanks for all that - brilliant - looking forward to our holiday now!! - Originally me and hubby were going to Portugal, to attend a motorbike rally and then one of my daughters suggested going on holiday to celebrate his 18th !! - It was my sons idea to go to Cyprus/Greece - and so I was like ' oh which one shall I go to' my hubby was like ' rally, rally, rally, but its up to you dear!' - I just thought the grandchildren will be adults too quickly and I've ALWAYS wanted to go to Cyprus/Greece - so the choice wasn't too hard............again thanks - hope to see you sometime in Cyprus, our dates are 9th July - 21st July.......x
