These go to far the other way and make the beach look small and crowded which isn't accurate either.

Hands up all those who came to Roda in the summer of 2011! It's hard to believe that this is the same beach after one of our big winter storms in December 2010, but it all gets sorted before May and stays that way until the storms appear again in the Autumn.

Steve is spot on - although the beach often looks a mess after winter storms it always looks spelendid and is very well maintained in the summer. I think the photo of Pete's is a very 'close up' or taken with a zoom and is merely a "snap" shot of a small area and doesn't reflect the whole beach - we've been in June, July, August and September and I've never felt it looked crowded.
regards, Kath.

The beach is gorgeous in season and I'm dreaming about it already, I'm sure I'd love it in the winter too though as I think there's something wildly powerful about the sea in winter I definitely prefer Britain's beaches empty and wild and out of season. But I agreemmozzie protection is a suitcase must! We start taking one a day antihistamines a few days before arrival and continue through the holiday. We also spray all the rooms every evening before going out with the spray you buy in the village and use Avon skin so soft shower gel whilst on holiday as they hate that! I also take all over body wipes with deet hahaha I hate mozzies can't you tell! They are awful in corfu although we escape them for the most part but I see some people simply covered in bits poor things, anyone else have any tips!?

Hi chophiemarax My wife swears by her clicker she doesn't get a lot of bites but the ones she does have gets a zap from her clicker its like a little electrical shock and stops the itching. You can get them in most chemists and are about £5
