The markers on runway 35 denote the landing and take-off thresholds under non-emergency conditions. All normal aeroplanes should land and take off between these. This Thomson plane took off just before the first of the take-off markers, which is about one mile, considering the total length of the runway. The take-off speeds of most planes that we use to get to Corfu must vary between 150-200 knots, depending on loads, tyre ratings and a few other things too.
