Hello everyone, It is only recently that I've discovered the Roda Online website, after many years of coming to Roda for our annual summer holiday. My family have been visiting Corfu for 23 years, since I was a very young child. Originally starting in Kassiopi for the first 10 years then onto Roda until last year when we stayed in Sidari. During our time in Roda we've stayed in the Coral, Pegasus and Kosmas, returning to the latter this next bank holiday I am more than happy to say Bringing a fairly large group with us this year; Myself, my dad, my sister and her partner. Oh and not forgetting the seven children we have in tow ages ranging from 0-15 haha! Hoping to visit Hydropolis water park again this year, do a bit of horse riding and what's this I read about a reptile house?! (the older kids will love that!) Look forward to chatting with you all Kim

Hi Kim, welcome to the forum and hope you have a great time in Roda this year.
This will be my 15th time in Roda and only been to Sidari for one night in all that time.
Interested to know what you think of Sidari in comparison to Roda
regards
Tony

Hi Kim & welcome to the forum, looking forward to your input on all matters Roda. The kids will indeed love the new reptile house, Steve & Pauiline who run it are very knowledgeable & will talk them through their visit, allowing them to handle lots of the animals and have their photos taken with them (at no charge). It's 5 euros per adult & 4 for children with the younger ones free. pete.

Tony Hi Tony, We stayed at the Stema in Sidari last year (which by the way, is fantastic and has the largest self catering accommodation I've been in). Sidari seems to be very much aimed at the young adult; great bar scene, lots of shops, fantastic beach and water sports available. This was great for us because last year we were a much smaller group and so wanted the hustle and bustle of a busier town. As in Roda there are many amusement arcades and entertainment for the kids, it also seems to be less of a walk to travel around the main strip than in Roda - and staying in the Stema we were very close to this and the beach. Though as you've visited Sidari previously you will have noticed that the pavement is very narrow! I enjoyed Sidari and will no doubt take a day trip there this year, but it is Roda that has my heart. As a larger group we like to slow things down and enjoy a calmer family friendly atmosphere. I hope this helps, Kim

Hi Kim and welcome to the forum.
We visited the reptile house last week and my kids aged 9, 11 and 15 absolutely loved it. They got to hold snakes and a spider etc. but weren't pushed into getting too close to anything (actually that was me with the tarantula!).
Steve and Pauline are very friendly and let you have as much time as you like to take photos.
