Hello to all the forum members.
As an introduction to the forums I would like to tell you a little about myself.
I'm Mark, 51 years old and although I'm new to the forums I'm well seasoned in Roda as I have already visited Roda for holidays in the past. This in fact will be my 20 th time in Roda although my last visit was way back in 1999. It will be wonderful to see the changes that have happened since my last visit and to see how over time things have progressed and developed. My partner Jenny and I will be there for two glorious weeks arriving 6th September 2013. It will be Jenny's first time in Roda so I'm hoping she enjoys the pleasures that I have encountered over the years.
Thinking back I have met some very good friends over the years and it will be pleasant to run into some of these old friends as well as meeting new friends. Stella from The Dolphin was only four years old when I first had the pleasure of meeting her. Roll forward several years as Stella reached adulthood she was the only one in the village that could say b****y hell with an Oldham accent. How it used to make me laugh after a few ouzo's.
Some members may be aware of Derek and Maggie who lived at the villa Olga in Sfakera for several years, they were in fact my father and mother in law. They returned to the UK several years ago for medical reasons but did an excellent job of always making me feel welcome.
So as September is fast approaching its time to order my euros and look forward to returning to Roda once more to sample the delights, and to enjoy two glorious weeks of relaxation and sunshine.
Finally in summoning up Roda in just a few words, no matter where I ate the food was always good, never had any bad experiences other than a touch of sunburn, and the people in the village, well they were always friendly and pleasant.
