I wanted to write this review as I personally couldn't find any last year before we booked Villa Popi through Olympic Holidays. This was our 3 visit to Roda first time with children (4 years and 15 months) we had previously been in 2003 & 2005 stayed at Elenitsa which was OK for a couple who wanted a place to put heir heads down for the night, however this time we wanted somewhere we could relax in comfort with the kids and we were not disappointed. We were picked up at the airport by Yannis Roda Taxi and arrived at the Villa 45 minutes later (much better than the 2 hours+ transfer by bus) we had experienced in the past. The Villa was fantastic from the moment we opend the sliding gate I knew we had made a good choice. The Villa has 2 bedrooms (with twin beds) a bathroom with a jacuzzi bath & shower (plus washing machine) lounge & dinig area not forgetting the fantastic Pool and splash pool. Villa Popi has evrything that you need for a week/2 weeks stay, the washing machine I must admit was a real plus for us especially with 2 messy kids. The family who own the villa live next door and also own the Kosmas Appartment. On arrival the first thing I noticed was the travel cot was missing ( when booking through travel agent I was informed this would be included as standard with an infant) I phoned the olympic office in Corfu Town who informed me otherwise however it was a must and I agreed to pay 25 Euros, they promised the cot would be delivered that evening. On our first night we were keen to explore the village again as we hadn't been for 8 years it was nice to see quite a few familiar faces (that even remembered us) and also a few new. It was 11pm+ when we returned to the Villa, 5 minutes later the owner's mother arrived with the travel cot from olympic (both of us couldn't get it erect so she phoned her son who put it together in a matter of seconds) I can't praise how helpful the family was. The walk from the Villa to Roda village/beach was 10/15 minutes however after the first couple of night we realised it was much safer and easier the get a taxi from the beachfront for 5 euros than walk the un paved path home in the dark. Would we return?? Most definetley 100% the Villa is fantastic as is Roda.
