Most people reading the forum will already know that one of Roda's long-time favourite restaurants has changed its name. 'Golden Sand,' which for years has charmed people with its unique location along the beach, has become 'Alexandros on the Beach,' complimenting its sister business of 'Alexandros in the Village' (formerly Smiley's). Alexandros on the Beach now has its own webpage in the 'Roda Pages' section of Roda Online:

If I stand with my back to the village facing out to sea do I walk left or right to find this lovely looking restaurant?

Vodkalil....have a stroll along the beach...there will be sunbeds there and the alexandros (Golden Sand\) has a lovely peaceful view...........on the way there is a opening on the left and it will lead you to the horse field, where they graze waiting for the horse riding customers...........

Great, thankyou. We've never ventured out of the village on our past two visits so will be nice to aim for somewhere else.

thank you for the information on alexandros/golden beach taverna , we visited here when we got married and had the most wonderfull romantic evening it was idyllic ,when I booked our holiday for this year I could not find any reference to the tavern and we were a tad disappointed needless to say you have all made our day and cannot wait to stroll along the beach and relive that wonderfull evening
