Every year me and Mark take our fishing rods with us and every year they stay in the case untouched. Brand new and never been used. Maybe this year we might give it a go after seeing this lot but by the time we get there they will have all be caught

I prefer sit close by with an ice cold Mythos, watching other people fail to catch anything. So relaxing.

I am intending to have a go this year, I know these are difficult fish to catch but its a nice way to while away an hour or so and if I catch anything then its a bonus

Do you put them back mrdm???......I always go over the bridge to feed them,...so leave me a few I probably will put them back unless they are a very good size and then I might just have one for supper, I am not really expecting to get many/ any but you have to try and it might just give me a bit of peace and quiet for a little while

These are 'kefalos', or flathead mullet, and they are breeding well in Roda's brackish streams this year. They are good to eat even if they have a few more bones than sardines.
