We are thinking of driving down to Corfu in May.
Does anyone know if there are any ferries sailing from Italy, direct to Corfu at that time of year (I have only been able to find them in July and August so far), or will we need to go to Igumenitsa first?
Thanks

Hi 'bish'. I know someone on this forum who has experience of this overland trip - and in fact is doing it again in just a week's time! I'm sure he will be able to answer your queston, and give some advice, in due course. Rgds, Chris

Direct ferries to Corfu have been drastically reduced over the last couple of years bish and the best place to start checking may be: You will see a number of lines offering Corfu, but they are from various Italian ports and they may well be peak season only. There is a very regular service from Igoumenitsa and it is a lovely experience sailing slowly into Corfu Town, but it will add a few hours to your journey and it is an extra cost. Steve

I will keep my eyes open for any tips over the next few weeks, Chris.
Steve, thanks for your help yet again. I have looked at the link and it looks like we will have to go via Igoumenitsa, which is a pain in the, but no different to flying via Athens out of season I suppose! The prices don't look too bad though.
