My partner, parents and I have just returned from our second holiday in Roda. My partner and I stayed at the wonderful Pegasus Hotel, and it was as good as ever. This really is a very special hotel. My parents booked a package deal with TC at the Melinda Apartments and were very pleased with every aspect of their accommodation. In the run-up to our holiday I kept looking on this forum for tips and suggestions, and consequently we manged to frequent most of the eating/drinking establishments in Roda. I can honestly say that I have never found such a range of high-quality, friendly and welcoming restaurants/tavernas and bars in one resort. Every single one was fantastic. My partner had never been to Roda before, and I desperately wanted him to like it as much as I do. Now I'm asking myself - why on earth did I ever worry? Of course he loved it!! Thank you so much to the administrators and members of Roda Online - you all helped us to discover Roda and it's wonderful people.

Another great holiday for me at the Afroditi, too many people to name but they were fantastic,so helpful and kind, nothing too much trouble for them......then I moved to Maritsas Apartments and what lovely people Katerina & Nikos were,(not forgetting Yiannis, who kindly bought me a cup of tea after dropping off my bags)again, nothing too much trouble for them....I met up with old friends and made new ones...went to Forum get-togethers and was able to put names to faces, met Steve a couple of times for coffee and chat.....visiited Corfu Donkey Rescue at Doukardis...Judy is doing a fantasic job there (please visit the site)..went to Arillis, beautiful..........was able to view a lot of the bays (by car)..but Roda still my favourite and there are plenty of BENCHES there,so I get to choose,......food was great and the chefs catered for my needs (cos I'm fussy and not a big eater)....I made a new friend by the name of Lucas, handsome boy, lovely nature, long golden brown hair and 4 legs,he never left my side unless he was chasing a motor bike......but he lives in around the village and has an owner,so no chance for me to get him to UK.....but I struck lucky and I am having a small dog fetched over for me,she's sweet, calm and pretty and about 1yr 6mnths old......so I am getting excited now and can't wait until Monday the day she arrives..........Had a few storms my last week, but wonderful to see the lightening over Albania and the electric storm out to sea.....that's me done.........just waiting for next year now and back to the place I love (hopefully)

Yes Kaz, and it was good to meet up with you again this year too - several times in fact! Really glad you enjoyed such a good (long) holiday and have a new little 'friend' to look forward to next week. So, like you said, here's to next year? Best wishes, Chris (& Liz)

Sounds like you had the usual great time in Roda Kaz and met friends old and new.
Hopefully during my visit 26/0813-09/09/13(staying at the Coral Hotel) i will be at last able to meet the legend which is Kaz for a chat and a coffee(or a Metaxa!) at the FGT's or somewhere in the village(probably a bench!). By the way will you be taking Leala for a walk or will she be taking you!. Best Wishes David

Yes holidayman, a great rest (my body needed it) isn't it strange how relaxed one can get once in Roda? and to meet up with old friends is the cream on top of my Irish coffee!!!...I suppose I will really have to think hard about next year being as I will have my dog here....she's only tiny holidayman, more under the arm type!!...but would be nice to meet up with you
