From next May Jet2 will be flying from Manchester terminal 1 on a Monday, the flights I have looked at are not particularly cheap but at least it's another option. pete.

I like the sound of that Pete. I flew Jet2 to Rhodes this year and was very impressed. More leg and seat room than Easyjet, 22kg luggage allowance and for a little extra money a SEAT allocated you can choose online. As we are looking at independent this year I definitely like the sound of that. Bev

Agreed Bev, the extra luggage will suit the better half & the allocated seating has got to be better than the mad dash system of Easyjet, half decent flying time as well, plus the more choice the better. pete.

We flew with Jet2 for the first time last year and we all agreed it was the best flight we have ever had - as Bev says above plenty of leg and seat room; the staff were excellent and the flights both ways were exactly on time - we are flying with them again in September ! Hooray!

Just a pity them or Easyjet can't add Glasgow to their route. There is further north than the north of England. The flight companies are really starting to annoy me now.

Totally agree with you Jackie. It is time that "budget airlines" understood that there is a demand for their services from Glasgow International. Jet2 already fly to Crete and Rhodes from Glasgow - for the life of me i can't understand why Corfu was not added as a route by them.

Totally agree with you Jackie and David......it's about time they got some competition up here for the tour operators ..... Thomas Cook flights are so cramped, never done Thomson but both are expensive compared and I believe one of them(told by third party), not sure which has cut luggage allowance and you have to pay more now just to get 20kg.
