Situated at the far end of Acharavi (the next town along the coast) Hydropolis water park is a great venue for a family day out,it's much cheaper, easier to get to and less busy than it's big sister Aqualand, which can take up to two hours to get to & from depending on the number of pick ups. You can buy your tickets & transport from any of the local travel shops, or you can hop on the local (green) bus and pay on the gate - if there are 4 of you it's just as cheap to go in one of the local taxis. This past season they were doing a family ticket that included all food & soft drinks - a really good deal if you have got the kids with you. With 9 giant water slides - one of which is not for the faint hearted, and 15 smaller ones, rubber ring rides, plenty of sun beds and shaded ares and lots more - all looked over by life guards, it's a relatively cheap way of entertaining the troops. www.corfu-island.org/hydropolis.htmPete.

Can recomend this water park. Took the grandson this year and he loved it, just like he loves roda and all the lovely people. He is only six but allways enjoys his holiday, especially singing frank sinatra's fly me to the moon in bennies. I bet you remember that don't you pete. It all seems like such a long time ago now but i feel sure that it won't be long before we are back again next year.

Hi, have been considering Aqualand but after reading about Hydropolis we might try there instead. Just wondering, what are the admission prices for adults?

Hi Alice, you will be much better off going to Hydropolis, the coach journey to Aqualand can take more time than you actually spend there - lots of pick ups & drop offs. It is about 13 euros to get in i think, twice a week they have an "all inclusive" day for about 20 euros but i have heard that the "free" food & drink is not up to much. You can arrange your own transport - bus or taxi or all of the travel shops in the village run regular trips. Hope this helps. pete.

If you book with Nostos Travel, it is actually cheaper to go to Hydropolis with their coach than if you made your own way there. I will check the price again for you , can't remember what it is right now, but definitely cheaper to book with Nostos Travel. Again - Nostos is better for Aqualand too - they go straight to the water park where other can travel around half the island first, making 3 hours plus on the coach. Rena at Nostos prides herself in offering the "originals trips". PS We'll be putting on a webpage for Nostos, this week sometime!
