I've recently had cause to do some research into flights to Corfu from various other countries, when I delved a bit deeper & looked at the prices that were being charged I had quite a surprise, they were nearly all much more expensive than the U.K. flights that we all complain are too dear, when you think that most E.U. flights are much shorter than those from the U.K. then maybe we are not alone & perhaps we are not getting ripped off as much as we think we are. Here are a few examples - Prague to Corfu - over £300 return. Zurich to Corfu - over £3270 return. Stockholm to Corfu - over £1100 return ! Amsterdam to Corfu - over £400 return. pete.

I had a look at them earlier in the year when I was looking for flights for my daughter and they were more expensive than us at that time as well.... I had a thought that it might be cheaper flying to Amsterdam and then to Corfu from there as Scottish flights were so expensive. I ended up with Easyjet from Edinburgh to Bristol and Bristol to Corfu for her and this worked out at half the price she would have paid with Thomson or Thomas Cook from up here.

that's the problem with staying in Scotland. I usually travel down to Gatwick but it adds on at least 2 days onto your holiday. Same holiday flying from Gatwick was half the price of flying from Glasgow and was actually better to take a package holiday and get the transfers included. The amount I saved covered the cost of staying at Pipitsas. I am quite lucky as my job allows me free travel to most airports in the uk which helps as well. Flying from Glasgow this year but haven't flown from there for years.
