Many will know the small supermarket close to the crossroads between the Sunriders ground and Roundabout Bar. The building is being completely renovated and is set to become a souvlaki take-away.

Steve are the people who run the shop going to run the takeaway? we used the little shop everyday for our odds & sods and we are very friendly with the couple that run the shop as its near where we stay (Melinda).

I'm don't know, Bert - maybe them, their children or someone new altogether ... will let you know when it opens.

Where are these three other souvlaki take-aways? Since the closure, last year, of the one between the crossroads and the'Pegasus' hotel (sorry, but I can't remember its name) I wasn't aware of any others. Cheers, Chris

The most popular souvlaki take away is Dimitri's Grill Room opposite Maritsas and next to Oscars. The other is next to the olive wood shop, between Loft & Posedonio. Most restaurants will also do take-aways.

Agreed, Petra - we need more variation not more of the same. I guess the location will cater for locals, but beware of a few U-turns around the traffic lights! Steve

Oh no! Not Meraki closed! John and I thoroughly enjoyed our gyros there last year and was already planning visits there again this year. :-( Bev

Forgive me if I'm wrong Bev but I thought Meraki was the old fish & chip shop which has been closed for a couple of years now pete.

Meraki is a common name for grill rooms. At about the time the one on the main road, by the doctors, was closed, the old fish & chip shop opened under a similar name.

That's ok Pete. I know we ate there last year, it was only open a couple of years, never seemed busy but did lovely gryos. Bev
