I have to have a weekly blood test due to being on warfarin, does anyone know I can do this while on holiday in roda. Can I use my e11 card to get the test done. Hope someone can help as I do not want to miss out on my holiday to Roda.
Thanks Mags

I don't know about in Roda, but I do know that there is a first class clinic in Acharavi which does blood tests etc., but don't know if your Ehic will cover this. maybe Steve could find out? If you want I will get details of whereabouts the clinic is - pm me with your email and I'll see what I can find.

There used to be a microbiology clinic near the crossroads in Roda, but I have always used the one in Acharavi because of the people. It's a walk-in situation and I recommend it highly. It is managed by Stella Mastora, daughter of the man who founded the General Clinic in Corfu Town. Stella speaks excellent English and she is very helpful. Her assistant Natasha opens up at about 7:30 am and it could be quite busy then - best time might be after 10:30 am. Results are very quick - not at all the long waits that you expect in the UK and this is the norm out here. It may well be that you will be covered by EHIC and it is worth asking - many things are now. Even if you pay, it won't be much and you get quick results - worth every penny.
The clinic is up the other stairs alongside the internet cafe at the back of the square by Odysseus Restaurant. The steps from the road lead to the family orthopaedic clinic run by Stella's sister, Marilena - also recommended.

I am prescribed Warfarin, and at one time I was on weekly Blood Tests. At that time we were visiting Corfu, and I had concerns, but found out I could have the tests in Corfu, and I text the results back to the Anti Coagulant Clinic in Bournemouth. I had mine at the clinic in Corfu, which was wonderful. The Staff were great, and very helpful. I went straight in, and got my results after a cup of coffee. My result was back in the UK by midday. I also did not have to pay for the BT, on production of my EHIC.
It must have impressed Bournemouth Hospital/Clinic, because I have my test one day, and receive the results the next morning in the post. Thankfully, I am now required BTs every 3 months.

Thank all for your messages about blood test in roda, I feel more confident now as my INR does go up and down. I will look out for you Steve for clarification when I am in Roda in July, staying at Pipitsa's, but I do feel happier now. Thanks

You're in good hands with Pipitsa, Mags - she will do anything for her guests. She has my number if you need it.
