Ryanair has announced more fee increases. June to September and Christmas flights Checked in baggage up £5 per bag At the airport it will be from £30 up to £50 but up to £135 per bag if not booked in online 15Kg bag will rise from £40 to £100 if hand baggage is too big or heavy Fee for boarding cards @ airport rise from£40 to £60 from 15/1/2012 Additional fee's mean that the "add on's" will in most cases be more than the cost of the flight itself.

Personally, I would not fly with Ryanair if you paid me.

Surely it is the final price that is important regardless of how it is made up, surely non of us are daft enough to think we are going to get a flight for a tenner. If the final price is lower than T.C. , Thompson or whoever then that is all that matters, leaving more spending money for the holiday ? Or have i got it wrong ? pete.

I know, understand and sympathise with your reasons for not liking Ryanair Saint, however since you have to book online it makes sense to check-in online and just weigh your bags before you set off to make sure they are not too heavy. On a side issue, if anyone is ever pulled up for having too much weight in their case, if it is only slightly over, ask to see the calibration certificate for the scales that they are using, chances are they will not be able to produce it, thereby not being able to prove the accuracy of their scales - always worth a try. pete.

Ryanair, Lyingair, or Conair. They advertise a price from A to B, and claim they are the cheapest airline. Maybe so, but is it right that on advertising a price, one ends up paying far far more than the price indicated. Perhaps the [person] [edited by admin] in charge will reconsider charging for toilet paper per sheet as it was reported a while back.

Right or wrong, with over 70 million passengers, a healthy bank balance & less than 1 in a thousand people having a complaint they must be doing something right. At the end of the day if they & Easyjet stop the big boys from putting their prices (already much higher) up then in my humble opinion it can only be a good thing, at the risk of repeating myself, non of us should be daft enough to think we will get a flight for a tenner, as for "the little [person]" - he is a windup merchant of the first degree - just think how much his publicity would cost if he had to pay for it pete.

Excellent advice Pete - I always weigh my bags first; but had never thought of the "calibration certificate" request should I ever get caught out. Thanks very much for the tip. Rgds, Chris

I recently priced up a flight on Ryanair Bristol to Venice for the two of us £343 in total Then I checked out British Airways Heathrow to Venice again for two £165 in total How they can call Ryanair a budget airline is beyond me. They're way over my budget!!

Like all airlines, Kernowman, much depends on dates and flexibility - it's the same on the buses, ferries and trains. I could have returned to UK in November for €36.

if you think they would hold up a line of passengers eager to board aflight while checking scales or for a accreditation certificate you are dreaming, they would probably ask you to stand aside, and you will check in last. majority of people accept the weight shown and pay the excess. original point being ryanair charges are more than most other carriers .

Different issue, 'Ol Salty - could have done a return from Corfu, via Athens to Heathrow - and back again over Christmas, for around €300 (about £256) - and that is on Aegean.
