hi - I have been going to Roda with my family for a few years now - you just cant beat that relaxed atmosphere & friendliness! I have never found a place that is so kid friendly! Well, next year we are going to try something new! We will be booking seperate flights & accomodation - mainly because my hubby fell in love with some apartments he saw on line. Being a total novice at this its a bit scary looking around for flights, so I cold do with some help & suggestions. The best flights I can get for 2 adults & 3 kiddies at the moment are approx £1100 at the moment on the 26th June 2009. Can anyone tell me if Easyjet will definitely be flying to Corfu next year & if so if it is worth waiting to see what prices they will be charging? I understand they will not be announcing their Gatwick flights until the 1st December, but wondered if it is worth waiting for?
Don't worry - any advice will be treated as a suggestion - I just like to have as much info as possible before we make a decision!
Many thanks, Janet.

Hi Janet
I can't help at the moment as all of these companies play their cards very close to their chests. EasyJet were due to announce new schedules by mid-August, but it never happened. We hope now that they will come up with the goods on December 1, and I suppose that as it is only just over three weeks away, it is worth waiting for.
I understand your nervousness about booking over the internet for the first time, but we would not do it any other way - the first time will always be the worst. Just make sure that you are covered for eventualities like the XL collapse.
The best advice at this moment, perhaps, is be patient, look every day, be prepared to act quickly and something should come up. Pete has already told us how his flight dropped by a large amount in a matter of hours - he jumped in and booked immediately.
Hope this helps a little and, when we know about easyJet, someone on this site will post something straight away.
Steve

Hi Janet We've been going to Roda independently for a few years now and like you have three children so it can be expensive. Last year however, thanks to this site we found out about the new Easyjet flights to Corfu and after a few weeks of watching the prices we managed to book return flights for the five of us in June for £298! Yes you did read that right. I'm obviously not expecting to be anywhere near that lucky again but I do think that it's worth waiting to see what happens. Good luck! Nikki

Hi Janet, hang in there & keep looking, as Steve said the price of my flights came down dramatically in a matter of hours. We have been booking this way for about 15 years without a hitch untill X.L. went bust this year. We have booked next June's flights with thomas cook, their site is A.B.T.A & A.T.O.L. bonded & i paid on a visa card as extra security. Hopefully Easy Jet will come good , i know the temptation is to book as soon as you can, but i don't think that all the seats will be taken too early this time around. pete.
