;D Once again we have enjoyed the company of Spiro, Tanya, Socrates, Andreas and Angelina at the Harbour Bar. Ever since we first went to Roda in 1996 a lot of our time has been spent there. The sunbeds on the beach during the day coupled with the good food and refreshments followed by the ouzo and vodka in the evening supported by the entertainment. The whole family have become firm friends over the years and to be with them in July and last week was great for both Flo and myself. For us it is the best value for money in Roda and a must for all who visit Roda to go to. We hope to see you all there in July, Florence and Laurence ;D

... and Socrates this year I think, John. He's busy at the moment building new indoor toilets for the Pangalos taverna, but we believe he will be back behind the bar soon.

I read somewhere that the Harbour Bar was going to install a live web cam.
Can anybody confirm this and if so how to log onto it.
Just think, we can all pretend to be in Roda.

Hi Brian - we have spoken to Socrates within the last few minutes and he has had a problem with his computer which now seems to be reolved. He says he wants a couple of days and then we can return to the task of setting up his webcam. It will be available on their new website: HARBOUR BARSteve

;D ;D ;D Once again the whole family at the Harbour Bar made our holiday for Fol and myself. This is the best bar in Roda. Good food, great beer, a warm welcome and best value. We can't wait to be back in October. Socrates has the web site up and running with pictures and videos. When you tune in to the Wild Rover, do yourself a favour and turn the sound of as I can't sing a note but then if you are on holiday why should everyone else be happy. Loz and Floz. ;D ;D ;D

I spoke to Socrates only yesterday, Steve, he is still saying "time is on our side!" We can do no more until he realises that it isn't! ;D

Just want to say that my wife and I frequented The Harbour Bar several times during our 2 weeks in Roda in the last couple of weeks and it's lovely great scenery, very relaxing etc..
However I was dissapointed with one of the guys working there when I turned up for a drink just last Sunday early evening 5.50pm for a quick beer after the beach..whilst during him pouring my pint I tried twice to make a little conversation with him ..and sadly he completely ignored and got back to what he was doing (sitting in the bar area) I was his only guest @ the time but he came across as cold and distanced ..I felt like I was inconvienienceing him.

Yeah I was surprised and dissapointed...but he clearly did'nt want to engage with me..but I drank my pint..he did say thanks as I returned my glass ...and we did return next day where I found the happier guy with a bit more hair.
