We were up in Aghios Douloi yesterday, after driving up a couple of the narrowest streets i've ever seen we came into a large courtyard with a massive olive tree as it's centerpiece and with a view to die for, but if we thought it was hot down in the village it felt even hotter up there & the car was like a furnace when we got back in, after that it was straight down to the beach and a cooling off in the sea. Had to go to Maggie's last night as the craving for one of her trifles just got too much to resist any longer, as an added bonus it was her & Des's 27th anniversary so there was a free piece of cake for everyone - yummy ! Perhaps that was why we only came fourth in the quiz, that & the fact that we had just had an encounter with one of the biggest, ugliest bugs i've ever seen, i've got a photo of it that i'll show you later - it was like something out of a horror film. Ah well, breakfast awaits then who knows what. pete.

Enjoy the rest of your time in Roda. We ended up doing a Cruscoes lunch again yesterday (Their sausage and cheese baguettes are my weakness) so decided on Estrellas for tea and then into the Sailor to say our bye byes, good job really if you came 4th in the quiz we would of probably been about 10th!~we were going to bed for 11, but it was R hours later by the time we decided to wait for Sasha and Alan to finish work. Sat at the airport now, bye bye Corfu until next June.

The weather is still glorious with no end in sight, the local forcast keeps threatening a storm but it hasn't happened yet, parts of Albania are ablaze most nights, much to the delight of many of the locals. Young Spiros started school on wednesday, only two hours a day but Sara says he's loving it. Had the sea bass at Roda Park last night - delicious, probably the nicest fish i've ever tasted. Only managed 4th place in the quiz again - i'm blaming the heat, then went up to Oscars to see Vasilli & Niko. Making an early start to the beach now because of the football later, this is the life - couldn't you just stay here forever ? pete.

Enjoy your day on the beach and your match later Pete. But do you really want to come home on Monday with this due in the UK?! He may JUST miss the onslaught - lucky him. Think his flight back is around midnight on the Monday.
Monday sounds good as a duvet day, but no, I have to go out to a high school to help immunise screaming teenagers! :-(

Nothing much to report this morning, wall to wall sunshine once again over here with little change in sight. Had a quiet day on the beach yesterday, good atmosphere in Crusoes for the football with lots of good natured banter, we managed second place in the quiz and met Kaz's grandson. Popping down to Acharavi this morning then hopefully down to the beach to top the tan up, really not looking forward to returning to the great british weather. pete.

Have a good day Pete - we have all enjoyed your daily reports once again. Johno - have a great time in Roda - they should be worried about Hurricane Johno arriving tomorrow! If your worried about your flight Johno i suppose you could always force down a small glass of wine or three - purely for medicinal purposes of course !

Another wonderful holiday over, the weather was glorious throughout, if a bit too hot at times, the people were fantastic as usual and it was great to meet friends both old & new, there were so many familiar faces at this time of year that you couldn't go anywhere without bumping into someone you knew. Thanks to Pipitsa for providing the accomodation and thanks to young Spiros from Crusoes for wearing me out and getting me ready to down a Mythos or two. We signed off the quizzes by winning sunday's, think that was 4 wins a couple of second places & one third. The rock singer in Crusoes literally had the place rocking & we saw "Rod Stewart" in Oscar's where a new star was born, photo to follow when i get a chance. We had delicious meals wherever we went, Roda Park, Niko's , K.H.P[. , Maggies ect. I hope these reports have kept you all in touch with the place you all love. pete.
