Left Roda on Monday after having a great fortnight. For the 3rd year in a row myself and family stayed at Theo's. As usual the staff (old and new) Jessica, Jamie and DJ Benny (Oh Yeah) worked hard and were such a good laugh. The Pool area and apartments were always spotless, can't really fault anything.
We all just chilled out and relaxed for the fortnight and loved just spending the days at Theo's pool and of course enjoying Nikki's company, what a lovely family the Parsonsgang are, such gorgeous kids (missing you all already). We always have a day at Makis so that we can just walk over the road and go swimming in the sea, we hired one of the pedal boats with the slide and my nephew said it was the best BOAT TRIP he had ever had, he is only 5, lol.
I finally got to meet Jacks, what a hoot you are Jackie and I still can't believe that we actually met last year and both of us never realised it .
I enjoyed meeting everybody else from the forum at the meetings but as I have such a bad memory I am unable to name everyone, I so hope you all enjoyed your holiday's.
As usual always enjoyed eating out, our favorite places were Newport and Roda Park, we also ate at OPA, Roxanne's, the Italians at Tropicana, Tex Mex and the pump house in Acharavi. I enjoyed every meal I had and the majority voted that the seafood were the most favourite of meals that we ate (grilled king prawns, sea bass and swordfish) mmm no wonder I put on 7.5lbs in a fortnight.
Flew from Newcastle with JET2 airline due to Olympic cancelling our Glasgow flight, we were not really looking forward to the additional journey that was imposed on us especially the return journey (as we only live 5/10 minutes away from Glasgow airport) but I wouldn't hesitate to do it again. Newcastle Airport was so relaxed, we arrived quite early for our flight and they checked us in without any problems and by the time we had a bite to eat we were ready to board. I also wouldn't hesitate to fly with JET2 again, such friendly staff and it had much more leg room and space compared to last years Thomas Cook's flight.
I so hope to get back next year but will need to see how the spare cash goes, but I know for sure that it will take alot to persuade me to go anywhere other than Roda.
Take care.
