Becky needs to warm it up Johno, there's nobody here yet - where are you all? Places like Theodoros would normally have about 30 people staying about now- I believe there are just three! What is the mood in the UK - are people hanging back on booking?

Steve, I think most are keeping hold of their money at the moment - the financial climate is so gloomy and I think people are scared to commit a large amount of money in advance for a holiday - maybe they will book last minute when they know they are safe employment-wise in that particular 'moment'.
regards, Kath.

My fear about late bookings Kath, is that it encourages the tour operators to claim again the Roda is full as their priority is to push customers into more profitable destinations and then claim theat those places are popular again. This practice is dubious to say the least and ABTA consider that lying to customers is nothing more than a 'commercial decision.' It is places like Roda, where would-be tourists are turned away, that suffer badly, and nobody does anything about it.

Steve I definitely think it is the economic climate. As said in a previous post Olympic had a great sale on over the wedding week. A week in Theodorus you could have for £113 per person, that is flights, transfers and accomodation, week starting 16th May. It is back to £154 pp, you had a choice of resorts. I would dearly love to be flying out to Corfu next Monday but simply cannot afford it. So spring cleaning and dreaming of June. Bev.

Steve maybe they all heard about nicks white jacket and decided to go elsewhere? hopefully things may pick up over the summer, but i know fro a lot job security is a worry. we have income protection so knew that even if the worst happened then we will still have the same income for twelve months, thats the only reason we take the gamble with booking in advance.
