Abbie, where is the place you will be going back to - we always like to hear of places people have enjoyed.

Hope the Newport does open this year. Although I suppose "The Captain" is no longer there? On our first visit to Roda, many years ago, we stayed in the apartments just above, they are now bricked up, but you can still see where the balcony used to be, a small archway. We were on a majorly tight budget, and used to order one spag bol between 2 of us for supper, take it to our apartment and eat it sitting on the balcony, then return the plate the next morning The rest of the time we ate at the Odysseus, and that's still our first port of call, Spiro and his wife are lovely, they always remember us and it's big hugs all round when we turn up. We've never had a bad meal there and the service is always good. Not to mention they always bring us puddings when we don't ask for them! Looking forward to this year, our first visit for 5 years. Is OPA new? Not one we've heard of, so will have to try it. Have eaten in Maggies, The Dolphin, Crusoes, Afrodite, Newport, Smileys (nice the first year but then seemed a bit pushy after that). Alexandros is always a must too. And probably a few more that I can't remember! In fact in all the years we've been going to Roda I don't think we've ever had a bad meal.

We tried a few other resteraunts this time:opa, odysseus, golden sands, alexandros, and poisideon, aswell as one of the grill rooms for gyros and the corner shop/skounas for cheese pies and chicken rolls at lunch.couldn't fault any of the meals this year, but did recall one place I ate back in 2008 which had slipped my mind when I posted before~roda inn, the food was ok but nothing special. And re newport yes it is definiatly open, I saw it with my own eyes whilst in roda.

I have always eaten at the Roda Park on a daily basis anytime I have been across and have never had any reason to complain. There is a good atmosphere in the restuarant and there is always plenty on your plate and is always well cooked. this restuarant is full of people who come back year after year so we can't all be wrong.
