Sara's baby daughter was born yesterday morning at 9:20am and weighed in at 3.1kg (6lb 13oz). Mother and baby are fine - Alex is all smiles and whiskers!
Congratulations from all at Roda Online.

Have just seen proud mum Stacey and proud big brother Angelos pushing the new arrival around the triangle, i can report that Dimitris has a fine head of black hair and that he sleeps all day & is awake all night ! Alex is going around with a big smile on his face, he showed me a photo of baby Eva Christianna on his phone - she looks lovely, all being well Sara & new baby are coming home today or tomorrow. pete.

So that's why people use Facebook, Jackie - you knew before most people in the village. I found out just three hours ago that Lucy gave birth to baby Dimitris at midnight on Saturday. He weighed in at 3.5kg - a bouncing 7lb 11oz! The race is over - for this year. Congratulations to all our new Mums & Dads. This was Stacy & baby Dimitris (yes, another one!) on their first public appearance at lunchtime today - no forty days indoors for this mum!

Hi Y'all, I'm definitely not a 'baby' person, but to hear of, and see, the the latest additions to such a small community softens the lump of granite which passes for my heart. Congratulations !!! Leaving sentiment behind ( much more comfortable for me ), Steve , can you tell us why, how, and when the 'forty day' custom originated? I've known about this for years but have never had an explanation even from the Greek friends I know.

I was thinking about posting a photo of lucy and dimitris but then I remembered that after angeliki koursaris was born ,we had the same problem about the 40 day rule.........seems that the new mums are not that afraid to show their newborn babies this early anymore. But to be sure I will Lucy's permission first!
I already congratulated 2 of the 3 ladies through FB: congratulations to Sara and Alex as well! Spiro must be so proud of his little sister!
