Ah, yes. But all the reviews are of how Maggie runs the place. Anyone else would be taking on an awful lot to come anywhere near keeping up the reputation and standards that the lady herself has gained over the years. I for one will be sorry to see her go. JackieM

I have to agree with Jackie it would be almost impossible to take over from Maggie. Her attention to detail for example in having every sauce known to man even had Yorkshire sauce. We eat at Maggies at least twice when we are over in the season, well worth the drive. It would be a very hard act to follow, CC

If the five years is negotiable jomike - who knows if Maggie might be prepared to phase in the new owners? The secret of a good deal is that it has to suit all parties concerned.

Family business, Carol? Can any of you cook for a crowd? One thing I can promise is that there is not the amount of paperwork and rules that you have to deal with. It's a lifestyle opportunity for somebody - who will it be?

Any further developments with Maggies ? I do hope she and Des are still there as they are such a lovely couple and we do enjoy late breakfast/early lunches there.

Maggie's is open for business again - as reported with a new range of meals focused mainly on tapas & mezes. I just left there and today, Maggie had the local cardiologist in for lunch. He enjoyed it so much he is coming back with his family and telling all his friends. Recommendations for healthy food don't get any better than that!
