Sorry about the quality, think the camera was in Mythos mode at the time, here's Yianni performing his party piece - two tables & a chair held in his teeth - don't know how he does it .... pete.

What's happening with Big Ben's this year? Has it opened yet or has Yiannis not put in an appearance yet? I remember he was a bit later, last year - think he may only have opened the week b4 we arrived.

Hi Jacks - Big Ben was open albeit quite when we were there first two weeks in May this year. Think i saw Yiannis in there but as he was not outside i did not get the usual cry of Lovely Jubbly from him!

lol God, that was really early! Hope he's got some entertainment on - love a wee sing-a-long in Big Ben's, with a cheeky wee cocktail or two! :-)

We are coming to Roda in a couple of weeks (11th May) for two weeks and are really hoping Big Ben's is open. Does anyone know if we will be in luck?

Big Ben is already open, Lynda - many places are rushing now as there are lots of people here already.

Thats great news Steve - this is our schedule for most nights. Ian - into the shower first. Then me into the shower - and Ian wanders off in the direction of Big Ben for a pint and to chew the fat with that "bl***y Greek" Yiannis!!! Then I saunter along down there for a bit of the same while we decide where to eat (last year we ate more than once in the bar itself, the food was great). Then after wiping the floor with all comers at Crusoes quiz (well, winning once or twice lol) its back to Big Bens for a nightcap. Love it!!!

This year we have come up with a cunning plan to get me into the villiage. Mark will drop me down to Big Ben's and then take the car back up to the Venus and jog all the way back down to Big Ben's and then work our way up the village stopping off at many watering holes along the way. The plan is I will be too drunk to feel the pain so will be able to walk all the way back to the apartment at the Venus. I plan to do this every night so Yiannis better be prepared to put up with every night whilst we are there .. Talking of food , a very nice cooked breakfast is served there too which we have had the pleasure of having a few times ..
