The supermarket I go to is in the old part of the village. If you go to the map www.officialroda.com/rodamap.html and look, you'll see Nikos Apts. The supermarket is on the road, in front of these. There are many food shops around the village & I'm sure there are ones closer to your apartments. I've just always gone to the same supermarket, for some reason! lol Myself & Colin (my other half) are in Crusoes most nights & we'll no doubt be near or with Pete & Debbie, from on here, so if you're passing of an evening, pop in & say hello. Also, on the evening of Saturday 19th, we're gonna have a wee unofficial FGT in Crusoes, cos there are so many of us out at the same time, from here. So if you want to join in, you'll be made more than welcome! x x

Jackie the unofficial FGT needs to be on Sunday 20th as I don't arrive til late on the 19th. Will Lynda still be there on the Sunday evening or do we need another unofficial one earlier in the day? I'd love to meet her before she goes home.

I think it was the 20th we'd decided on, wasn't it? lol I'm just making dates up now!
Lynda goes home on the Monday afternoon, so she'll still be there.

The nearest mini-market to Elizabeth is Spiros Banos. Out of the gate turn left - to the 'T' junction, turn right - 200 metres to the sea and the shop is right on the corner. One of the nicest men you will ever meet.

Well, we'll hopefully meet up at some point, tartanannie. No, the Glasgow flight leaves at 9.10am. So we should be in the resort for about 4pm (local time), if all goes to plan. What time does the Edinburgh flight get in?

Oh, I remember the days of night time flights. It was always night time flights, when I first started going to Roda. Now Glasgow have decent flights - thankfully! Midges don't affect me, but the mosquitos do. Just use everything you can think of to repel them! lol If you can't make it along at night, try to make it to one of the FGTs during the day (usually about 11am) The venue is announce a couple of days b4 hand. Not 100% sure where it is, next week (I may know, but won't say, in case it's wrong. lol)

Hi Tartananie, We've tried everything over the years to stop the mozies! We don't seem to get bitten as much as we used to, but still get the odd one. We use Jungle formula plugins in the room and the spray on any uncouvered skin. If we do get bitten we use Sudocrem. It stops the itching and seems to help get rid of them. Luv Jan X

We have used Boots aftersun with insect repelent for the last number of years and found it pretty good. Also garlic in some form every day. It will keep anything away.
