Once again I must say that Roda is not fully booked! There is no 'maybe' about it - the travel companies are manipulating their customers for their own ends.
Reports tell us that Sidari & Kassiopi are even quieter and that may explain why those resorts are now being pushed instead of Roda. Tour Companies are taking away free choice by doing this - it is one thing to promote a destination, but something entirely different when they lie about occupancy and deny people the holiday they are looking for. To offer free choice, they would need to promote each resort equally and let their customers make the final decision. We, their customers, would be happy, but their shareholders would have to accept lower dividends and chief executives would get the boot.
Is it time to start fighting fire with fire? Why do we not lie and say that we 'personally know the owner of our chosen accommodation, we spoke to him only today, and he assures us he is not full on those dates - now will you please check again?'

As most of the Forum members are probably aware by now, Shirley and I stay at the Oasis most times we are in Roda. Over the years we have built up a great relationship with the Family, and so I'm in constant touch with them, as have other Members with their own respective accommodation owners. I check the web sites on a regular basis to see the availability of flights/deals and pass any obvious 'discrepancies' to Kostas. More and more often I can feel the steam escaping from his ears when I inform him that his Hotel is fully booked for certain dates (pick a date !). I like the idea of ''Fighting fie with fire'' as suggested by the Artisans, but how?? TC have a complaints page on their site (difficult to find) that could be used to 'bombard ' them with complaints of lack of holidays to Roda. I'm sure other travel companies have a similar set-up (again probably very hard to find) so a concerted effort over an extended period may have some effect. Obviously prior knowledge of the accommodation state would emphasise the complaint, especially if quoted in the complaint. I have , at the present time, 2 complaints being ''Fully Investigated'' by TC. Don't hold your breath. Their letter of apology for the first complaint, Fortunately I live in a small village so the letter advising me of their ''Full Investigation'' was sent to the wrong address, not E mail address, home address!!! Luckily I live in a small village so the letter was delivered. Going 'Independent', as I've mentioned in another post, would hit their volume of business, unfortunately that would be made up by a price increase for the people who are unable to use this option due to flight times, airport choices etc. The pen is still mightier than the sword, but the Keyboard will prove mightier. ABTA, Which, and Citizens Advice seem powerless, it is up to US !! Any other suggestions would be appreciated ( I'm sorry, the tonne of horse manure stays in my garden!). Or shall we stay the silent sufferers?

Apologies for the ''Their letter of apology for the first complaint'' out of context, train of thought thrown into touch by Mobile Phonecall. Hope it doesn't cause too much confusion.
